Not having a good day

Had an interview for another job set up for next Thursday (within the Civil Service this time) which would have allowed me to move back to our house in Calne with the kids in July.

Just got a phone call to say they interviewed 3 people yesterday and, due to STUPID Civil Service rules regarding redeployment, they HAVE to offer one of them the job and, therefore, my interview is cancelled.

I am really disappointed - I had got myself psyched up for moving hom in a couple of months and thinking that, as long as I had a job, we would be OK when DH got made redundant.

I am starting to think now that I will never find a job back home and this time next year we'll both be out of work and broke

I am sure you will get the next one. Please don't give up hope. I applied three times to get my job with the local authority I am with. I just only wanted this job and in the end I took it job share (and kept two part time jobs)and waited until my job-share partner left to get the one I wanted full time. That was 8 years ago and have not looked back. Please don't give up.
