Not happy with Netflicks

We've had Netflix for 3 years and have never had a broken disc or even a scratched one.... I agree that it could be your postal sorting facility possibly. Good luck!!!
 
Weve had netflix for over a year and have never recieved a broken or even scratched disc. My only issue is that so have had Four Christmas at the top of my DVD list for awhile now and it keeps skipping it and has sent me atleast 5 DVDs under it. For some reason I can't currently see the availability for it either?

I am with you. I have had it skip down 10 or more spots to send me a DVD....seems that every movie I want, so does everyone else. It honestly got down to the ones my kids have in the queue this week.....it's getting BEYOND frustrating. Seems to me that they are getting new subscribers, but not increasing their volume on new copies.

For the record, in our 2+ years, we've never had a broken DVD or one that wouldn't play.
 
ETA - just a thought but all the Post Offices had an early retirement program go thru about 3 months ago and a lot of employees are now either new or working new positions. I'm thinking that might be part of your trouble.

OMG--that explains so much! Our mailman who had been here for *years* suddenly disappeared ~3 months ago. I was worried he had a heart attack. Anyway, we've had temps ever since and the service is awful (several of our magazine subscriptions cancelled as 'undeliverable.') I called and was told we should have a new permanent mailperson soon.

When we first joined Netflix several years ago we had a few discs get lost. I'm not sure that someone in the USPS was stealing them, but this never happened if I mailed them from a public mailbox near work.
 

The second time the DVD worked fine until the last 5 minutes of the movie & wouldn't go further. We tried cleaning it & nothing helped. I reported it as damaged & sent it back requesting a replacement to see the last few minutes.) They sent the same DVD! I wasted a whole week of watching as they failed to send a replacement for a week.

When this happened to me, I called them and they sent another one out. If it happens again, try calling rather than sending the DVD back.
 
Wow! That sounds extreme! We have been using netflix for several years and have had only one or two broked dvd's. I think they have a right to charge you for broken dvd's if it becomes excessive...and it sounds like it may be! I would talk to your mailman/woman.

WHY charge me? I didn't break them?:confused3 They arrive to me broken.
 
Actually you can report problems right on the website (https://www.netflix.com/DiscProblems) They will send you out a new disc before they send the damaged one back.

Trust me we do. EVERY TIME. :(

Little update 3 arrived today and only 1 broken. I am so fed yp with netflicks. THis is the 2nd HArry Potter broken this week. The girls are so upset they were ho[ping to watch it tonight...

As others have said, including myself, it is not Netflix that you should be pissed at, but rather the USPS. Do you really think Netflix would intentionally send out broken discs? Either talk to you post office or drop Netflix if it isn't working for you. Maybe try RedBox instead if they have them around you.

As others have said, you need to tell them that your Netflix DVDs are arriving broken and you think they are being processed through the machine instead of by hand.
 
I have received one or two cracked discs over the years, but I reported it right away and they sent me out a replacement which I had a day later.
I LOVE the instant play streaming movies!! That to me is the Best feature of Netflix!!!

To get the phone number to call Netflix:

Go to the Netflix website and log in to your account

Click on YOUR ACCOUNT & HELP on the upper right part of the screen

Click on CONTACT US at the bottom of the screen

Click on CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE

You will see the phone number to call and a service code.
Supposedly if you enter the service code when you call, your call will get put through faster.

The number is 866-716-0414

They were very nice when I called about a scratched DVD.

Generally, no! But I suppose they could hold you responsible if it is excessive. Most likely though, if that were to happen they'd cancel your account, not charge you for the broken DVD.
