I just spent an hour trying to add the dining plan to our trip this weekend. The CM told me it was available at first and then said we'd have to buy a 1 day park pass to get it, then I told him no thanks because we have annual passes and he was like ok, let me talk to my manager again and he comes back and says ok we can do it without the pass. Total was like $397 and I said that still sounded high. He informed me there was a $66 insurance he could remove which made it $330 some odd $$$.

At this point I was happy with having a site and dining for 1 adult and 1 child for $130 a day. So he puts me on hold for again to finalize it. He comes back and says hey I'm sorry, but we're just not going to be able to do it. After a little over an hour on the phone and all I get was an I'm sorry. I'm sure dining prices will be premium too this weekend for Thanksgiving.

From what I understand, you actually have to have a Passholder rate on your room/site to add the dining without purchasing tickets.

After stewing over the fact I spent all that time I called back and wasted another 15 minutes lol trying to get a manager. After all the complaining I got the package. Not sure if $331 sounds all that great for a site and dining plan but if the price of Crystal Palace and other dinner places we're gonna eat at are holiday priced I think it will work.

That is good to hear!! (Playing with my new Blackberry)

I am glad you got it worked out Donnie. You and Annie have a wonderful time this weekend!:thumbsup2

Maybe you could just learn to cook and you would save yourself all that time on the phone. :lmao:

I was going to but I would rather spend that time looping and going to the parks and what not. I usually do cook a lot in the crock pot and grill for longer stays.

I am sure you THINK you can cook, good thing you never had to camp near me. People would throw stones at you after the meal. :lmao:

You do NOT need to have a passholder discount on your site, to add the DP. As long as you have an AP, you can add Dining for $39 per adult, $10 per child, per day. No exceptions.

The CM you talked to did not know what he was talking about. When that happens to me, I politely hang up, and call back and get somebody better. :)

I'm glad you finally got it!!

Hey, I can cook good chicken kabobs. I have proof on that. I made around 60 for the 4th of July GG and they were gone pretty quick. I heard how you kept cousin Skeeter filled up last year. When you come back, I'm asking for a site near you.

BTW, the trans on my truck shifts so smooth since the filter and fluid change. It goes in the dealer next week for the injectors. Wish me luck.

Thanks Roz, I figured since Friday and Saturday would be the holiday rate it will save me $$$ right there. Now, should I use a table service at trails End? I don't think so. I have ressies at Crystal Palace Friday and Cape May on Sat. We're winging it Sunday and may try somewhere at DHS.

Blackberry Pearl (In Blue, of Course!!)

Blackberries are black, with a dark red juice. Pearls are white, but I guess there are some black ones and maybe grey. Neither a blackberry nor a pearl comes in blue, though. I don't understand.

LOL, Sorry Donnie!!!

That was funny Jim!! I never thought about it quite that way!!!!

I'm glad it all worked out for you Donnie. :thumbsup2 You guys have a great Thanksgiving.
