Up at 4:45am this morning to book GCV at the 7 month mark ~ we are in California, hince the early morning

Logged in and had everything ready to go, used the countdown seconds clock and clicked "search" as soon as 5am pacific hit. Room available!! Hooray!! Had 20 minutes to finish this thing and be ready to go. Did a little borrowing, clicked a few more time, still good to go. Had everything completed, checked that I understood the policies and clicked "Confirm" ... wait for it ...

Tried again, and, you guessed it, room is gone.

BUT my borrowed points are nowhere to be seen.

Not so patiently waiting for MS to open so I can talk to someone and at least get my points corrected. I know that there is nothing they can do about the room.

Sorry that this happened to you. When you call MS ask for a manager and see what they can do for you.

Yep. I have had this happen multiple times. I keep refreshing right around the 20 minute mark and then I always get the borrowed points and the room back. So frustrating!!!!

Manager wasn't able to help but recommended stalking the website and we did a waitlist.

Both your borrowed points and the room will return in exactly 20 minutes.

Sadly, this was not the case. I knew about the 20 minute cycle and was ready to click right at the correct moment but, alas, the room did not reappear. I'm sure it returned to inventory but either someone clicked faster than me or it filled a waitlist that someone did while I was trying to complete the first reservation.

We've been really fortunate with our 7 month booking attempts, maybe this trip just wasn't meant to be.

Last night the website would not show any contracts for me to book with on my computer. I decided to try my iPad and it worked there. Unfortunately the website is becoming more and more of a joke IMO. I've had similar happen to what you did OP and understand the frustration.
