I'm sad about that, but happy because we are adopting a greyhound!!! Instead of November, we will probably go next February, its only a few months more The dog will mainly be mine, but its a family dog. And I want to make sure everything goes smoothly, so our disney funds for the time being are going for adoption fees and fencing I'm so excited!

So, I'll be still wanting to here all the budget information and put it towards February

That is sooo cool. Is he/she an ex-racer? There is a website that you can look up their tag/racing number to find out their lineage/ racing history.

I know because we have an ex-racer. He is a really cool dog. He is fast too!!!

Yes, he was retired about 3 weeks ago. We haven't gotten him yet, they still need to do the home inspection and I'm hoping no one gets him before we do!

If your group works like ours does. They check out your home and foster him in a home similar to yours so he learns how to behave (ie - children, other animals, stairs, etc) The fostering process is only a couple of weeks and they teach them that the house is now their kennel.

That's great! We were in NH this weekend at s dog trial and the greyhound rescue league was there with some of the dogs! They are so beautiful!!

Good luck with you adoption of your dog. The great thing is that Feb. is a good month to go too, and I remember there were specials offered last year!! And Feb is right after the Holidays, so the time will fly by.
