Well we were supposed to be going to WDW in July and spending 17 nights at the BCV, but now we have had a total change of plans :sad2:

Dh sister just announced that she is getting married in July and the wedding clashes with our holiday so that went out the window  As you can imagine I wasn't exactly thrilled about having to change our plans so late  Anyway, when I started looking at moving the holiday back by a couple of weeks Dh said he didn't want to go to WDW but wanted to go to Cuba instead :scared1: As we have been to WDW for the last 6 years I couldn't really say no so we are now off to Cuba for 2 weeks in August :cool1:

There hopefully will be a happy ending for me in this as we need to do something with our DVC points, we borrowed them from next year which means they have to be used this year, as it would be a total waste of money to let them go to waste, Dh has agreed that we can go to WDW for Xmas and New Year :banana::banana:

Just need to find cheap flights!

Christmas is so lovely and you get two wonderful holidays:thumbsup2 Happy planning.

Tina

That's a pain, Jen BUT glad you've been able to sort it!!! :goodvibes Cuba's fantastic and Christmas/New Year in WDW will of course be fabulous!!! Enjoy all your revised planning...

Shame you've had to change your holiday, but Cuba and WDW at Christmas will be fab :)

You will love Cuba Jen, it seriously is a wonderful place, where are you staying, I can really recommend the Sirenis Las Selina in Varadero (have a look at my facebook pics), and of course WDW at Christmas is amazing, so sounds like a win win situation.

Certainly sounds like there are lots of positives to come out of this :goodvibes

However if I had alreayd booked and part paid for a holiday, then my sister decided to book a wedding at the same time, it would WDW here I come - but thats just me :lmao:

Same here :thumbsup2

But glad that you have managed to sort it out Jen :goodvibes

That was exactly how I felt, there were many arguments over it!! :lmao:

That's what happened to us. We had booked WDW for 2007 then DH's brother, who'd emigrated to Australia a couple of years before, decided to get married. It took all of 5 minutes for DH to decide that, however much he would have liked to support his brother, WDW was calling his name :lmao: :lmao: thank goodness he felt that way otherwise I don't know what we would have done ~ separate holidays?? :confused3  Luckily the brother's daughter flew out for the wedding so he did have somebody on his side there and we did send an email from Epcot on the day!

So, Jen, although it must be a bit disappointing having to cancel, just think now you have two fantastic trips to look forward to! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

What is it with family weddings interfering with our WDW holidays aarrgh? We are having that problem too.

Sounds like you have a good outcome though.:thumbsup2

shame you had to change your plans, but Cuba and WDW at Christmas sound a good alternative :goodvibes

Sounds like a great result to me. :goodvibes

Happy planning.

You have alot to thank your sister for 2 holidays

thats the great thing about DVC you only have to worry about flights holet all paid for

enjoy the planning

Oooh I would have been so angry with a family member if they had done that to me:cool1:
However yep you get two holidays instead of one and somewhere new, and the dates are 2 weeks earlier, so not a bad deal I guess, enjoy!!!

You've got to take the positives from this in that you are getting to Cuba & then to WDW for Christmas, but I admit this sudden wedding announcement would've had me a tad upset for a while. Got to look at the upside though....you'll have a nice day at the wedding then a fab time on your two holidays :cheer2::cheer2:

The flights are booked!! :cool1: We got a great deal with Kenwood, this will be the first time we have flown indirect but for the price we got I don't care! Plus I only had to pay a deposit and not the whole flight price so its win win :thumbsup2 We are now going for 16 days in December and will be there for Xmas and New Year, the car hire is also sorted, just need to change the DVC reservation on Sunday. For the points we have its a toss up between AKV and BWV, have stayed at AKL but not at BWV so any opinions would be great.

Cuba has now also changed, we are now off to Egypt for 11 nights in August :cool1:
