Not going to Halloween Horror Nights

We'll be staying on-site Oct 11 and 12, a Sat and Sun during Halloween Horror Nights. There is no way we're going (DS not at all interested) so I'm wondering how this will affect our stay. Will we have to be out of the parks early? What about City Walk? Will it be safe (not scary) those evenings?

Whichever park is hosting HHN this year...assuming it's the Studios...the park will close at 5pm to get ready. The crowds will definately be in full bloom outside the gate and in CityWalk. Other than badly dressed youngsters, you shouldn't see anything scary outside the Studios.

Yes...last year IOA closed at 7pm while the Studios closed at 5pm.

During that time of year, the HHNs are only Thurs-Sun, right? If we plan on going a Wednesday in early October, do you think we'll avoid the Horror Nights?

Normally yes but they do have HHN on a Wednesday night around the middle of the month. It's WAY too early to have a date but the website is usually updated starting in June.
