So at 5 am I am sitting at my computer desk, Ben is in the shower, I start smelling smoke. So I start sniffing around, I don't see anything. Maybe it's in my head. Smell gets stronger. I decide to get up & start looking to see if I can find the source of the smoke. I walk into the hall & I see smoke in the boys room. Beat on the bathroom door "Ben, there is alot of smoke in the boys room." No reply. Turn around & look into our/Shelby's room & OMG!!!! I could barely see in there! "BEN!!!!!!!!!!!! SMOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He gets out of the bathroom somewhat annoyed until he sees the smoke. He says it's the dryer & unplugs it. Closes the door, thinking problem solved. I asked if I should call 911, he said no. Ok, sit back at my desk, editing pictures. I turn around & see black smoke seeping into the living room. "Uh Ben, there is smoke in here." He opens the bedroom door & black smoke pours into the living room. His reply "Oh $#!% FIRE!!!!! Joni call 911!!!!" I grab my cell phone, tell Koby to get Shelby & Brady & get them outside ASAP! Within 10 mins, I had a total of 5 firetrucks in my street, Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, neighbors, the whole 9 yards. I will have to wash EVERY single piece of clothes we own over again to get rid of the smoke smell. And of course wipe down walls, buy a new dryer, etc. So please be patient with me on here. I will be very busy in the next few days. Here are the pics from the fire

We are very lucky & very blessed that was all the damage that we got. Still was not fun though. I am praying that this won't effect our Disney plans, but who knows. Off to clean more. I HATE cleaning.

Oh my god, I'm so glad you guys are all okay! That's gotta be scary! We had a chimney fire on Easter Sunday a few years ago and that was scary enough! Has everyone been checked out for smoke inhalation? I'm glad you guys found out about it early, though, before it did too much damage!

It was very scary! We didn't need to be checked out since we got out before it got too bad. I basically had the kids out of the door before there was too much smoke in the living room.

Something in the dryer went crazy. That's all I know.
