Are people getting off the Wish in the Bahamas now? If not, is that hurting the vendors?

We didn't get off the ship on the Wish when we went there. Been many times before and don't feel the need to get off the ship each time in port. Nassau is in the middle of a huge construction project at the port area right now.

Even when we got off the ship in Cozumel recently I did not buy one thing from a vendor. Been there done that.

I have no plans too. I want to soak up every bit of this beautiful ship. We haven't gotten off the ship in the Bahamas in a very long time.

I have not plans to get off in February on my Back-2-Back really.

Been there, I'll probably get off the cruise to get a picture of Wish from land, but not for long

For the past years there have been countless people on the Dis, who cruise with Disney, and do not get off the ship in Nassau. This has been the case for all Disney ships, why would the Wish be different?

We are sailing on the 12th and have no plans to disembark at Nassau. We consider this our day to explore the Wish. We will get off at Castaway Cay, however.

people say they stay on board because the ship is so empty and they can explore and enjoy ......

in other words .... a bunch of other folks ARE getting off . . . . :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

We were on the Wish MV and did not get off the ship. Not because we were on the Wish, but because the port of Nassau holds no attraction to us. We've stopped there on numerous cruises (DCL and others) and we are pretty much done with it.

But to add to @Capt_BJ post above, yes there were lots of people getting off the ship there. It's pretty much an individual decision.

Didn’t get off the Magic in April or the Dream last September. I’m on the wish next January. Any guess in my plans?

We we re on the DVC Charter and many folks including us, stayed on the boat at Nassau. I heard many on Maiden did the same, stayed on.

I love Nassau. We always get off the ship, walk to John Watlings Rum Distillery (15 - 30 min walk) for some of the best Pina Colada's money can buy then back to the ship by lunch!

The regular Nassau things never appeal to us (Atlantis, Baha Mar, beaches, etc.) which is why we try to avoid the touristy things.

We will probably try to limit the amount of time on Castaway to spend more time on the ship since I don't plan to Sail on the Wish again. Less out of desire, more we are getting priced out of the ship compared to the older ones.
