We are getting married on 11-11-11 sadly not at Disney but i really want to add some Disney touches to our wedding.

We are getting married outside at 6pm.

Above is a stock photo of the location.....

We are only going to have 30 guest max and we are doing are reception on 11-12-2010 -Weird i know but that is how we are :) -

Since it will be dark, I am planning on adding some lights to the pergola. I hope to take some pics with the lights i got soon.

But how can i add some disney touches?

I would say as long as it was cohesive, you could pull off whatever you want. For instance, you could theme it after hidden mickeys (have them on the wedding invites, on the wedding cake, in the floral arrangements, etc...).

Not sure if you're an Alice in Wonderland fan or not but, I could see that beautiful ceremony spot full of color and whimsy. Have a mad hatter wedding cake, the favors could have little "eat me" tags on them.

Where's the reception going to be? Inside or outside?
Whatever you decide to do will be just beautiful!

Well i really cant decorate per say at the reception. Its going to be at outback. I know that odd but that works best for are family.

So since it will be dark. lighting is a must.

I got them to hang from top of the pergola

Alice in wonderland is a GREAT IDEA!!!!!!

Will Outback have a reserved area for you? Maybe they'll let you jazz up the tables a bit. With just some simple centerpieces and favors...
Another Disbride is having bottles filled with different color liquids as her centerpieces with "Drink me" tags on them. Or you could just make some bright colored floral with ribbon streamers popping out of them.

Here's a cute layout idea for wedding invites...

Or if you don't want a cake... maybe you could set up something like this...

Sorry, I'm sort of running with the whole Alice Theme... I do that sometimes... I have my whole wedding themed out and ready to go. Just waiting to get to the one year mark so I can make it official!

I am not 100% on what outback is willing to let me do. I guess i need to ask? haha

hmmmm

Have you thought about renting a hall or banquet room at a hotel and having it catered by Outback? You can rent a room at some places for just a few hundred dollars then you can decorate it however you like. Also you really do need to call and ask about large parties. Even tho you have about a year, you need to know what the restaurants policies are, if they will even set aside a large section of the restaurant for you, any fees there may be and how far out you need to reserve the restaurant. The last thing you want is to call a month before your wedding and be told no.

I already have the restaurant booked. Its free. I don't really want to get a hall and have it catered. I want people to be able to pick from a regular menu.

I know that sounds weird. But are family likes this idea.

Another idea for lighting is to buy the strands of Christmas lights (especially during the after Christmas sale) and make sure they are the white not green cords with white lights. Then buy a bunch of tulle (maybe a bolt or two. It is fairly inexpensive) and then you can cut long lengths and double, triple or even quadruple fold the tulle and place the christmas lights inside. Wait to cut the tulle until you can measure where it will go. You can use it as an isle runner (not on the ground...you can string it up high on poles or even attach to the chairs), or make a canopy under the arbors. It is a really pretty and economical way to decorate with lights. If you wanted you could hide mickey sillhouettes throughout the tulle in the colors of your wedding or even just solid white. In case you aren't familiar with tulle...it is a white netting fabric that is very sheer.

You will need an electricity source for christmas lights.

With all of the bushes and trees you might consider having then covered with christmas lights as well. You can buy the white christmas lights that are made for bushes (of course with these you will want the green cords not white).

I think an outdoor wedding in the evening can be beautiful with lots of soft lighting.

Hope that helps a little.

Hi, this might be a little corny but I love the idea of having Mickey & Minnie on top of the cake doing a kiss. An ice sculpture in the form of your favorite romantic disney characters would be beautiful especially with the white lights. Just throwing out ideas ...:lovestruc
