We ended up deciding to go to Orlando for our vacation afterall this upcoming week, despite finding out it'll be busier than we anticipated. So, I got an email from Dave at vacationcentralflorida.com yesterday with his $199 alerts, but we decided to go with a townhouse instead because the splash pool will be great for our 4 little ones. Anyway, I did the online reservation process and got a basic email back stating that my reservation had been received and was being reviewed and they would get back to me shortly. This was hours ago. So, I didn't think much of it until I noticed the dates are still open to anyone else to also rent out on the website as well!! Does that mean I shouldn't assume we have the reservation? I'm really concerned because since we are going in, um, less than 2 days, I need to be looking for another place ASAP if I don't have the reservation, but I also can't afford to put commit to another rental if I'm already obligated to this one. I don't know what to do?!! I emailed Dave to see if he can let me know what to do and am waiting to hear back, but if you've gone through the process, how long did it take to find out if you got the reservation and also, how long until your dates were booked and taken off the calendar for others to try booking? I'm freaking out a little bit here!! Thanks!!

Yay! Dave just emailed me and let me know he's been out walking the property today and has just now gotten to get to his emails, so that's why I hadn't heard anything. I'm super excited and totally relieved that we did indeed get the townhouse Now I can start packing for the 6 of us. Nothing like waiting til the last minute! lol
