I'm feeling like I want to cancel my holiday :( it's the first time going to DLP, but all the rides I was looking forward to going on will be closed. I've been so excited up until now but I just feel deflated and :confused3 .
Why do all this in June?! :(

oh no  can you maybe reschedule for later? September maybe, lots of people really recommend this time of year...

Its horrible when your favourites are down but maybe try to see it as an oppertunity to find the magic in other places. Take more time to explore the little hidden gems that we are all guilty of overlooking :)

We have only been twice, going again in June, having been WDW visitors many times.

Problem is it's balancing out the time to go, when we went in August 2011 everything was open but was crazy busy, so we have tried to go outside busier times but when the weather will be pleasant.
That's why we chose June.

In August everything was open, but off peak there have been some rides not so.

Suppose they have to do these closures, it's just hard when you get 2 or more rides that you really want to go on.

It's even harder for us, as Joshua is autistic and cannot speak hence doesn't really understand why he cannot go on a ride, but like I say that's the peril of going outside busy times I guess.
In addition we got a special offer on the Disneyland Hotel again, so we can't complain really.

Hmmm......Disneyland Paris isn't just about rides though???? If you have never been before, you will definitely find enough to do - even with rides closed :-) If you want a theme park for rides, places like Chessington or Thorpe Park for the thrills, give satisfaction, but Disneyland Paris is a world above them.
I adore just sitting and watching the world go by at DLP, I think you maybe you'd actually find there is just not enough hours in the day to explore the wonders of the Disneyland Park and want to return. If only to go on the rides you missed first time around (we normally manage two or three ar most per day and start planning a next visit......we are going for a week in May and I'm planning weekend in July for our anniversary already!!<3)

That's the thing, I don't think I will be able to afford to go back. At least not anytime soon. I know it's not just about rides, but I have been on those as a child in America and I wanted to relive/compare. I don't doubt that there will be plenty to do. It's just put a downer on it. For now anyway.

What dates are you there? We go in June - 2nd until 6th and not heard anything about things being closed for those dates?? It's our first time too.

3-7th its listed on one of the websites.

You'll be able to go on dumbo though as that doesn't shut til the 3rd.

Aww, I really do feel your disappointment - BTM is my favourite ride and I was sorely disappointed when I found out that it's also going to be shut when we visit DL in Anaheim in a few months.

Guess you could always cancel but would you lose money by doing this? If you could do this without penalty you may want to consider it.

However looking on the bright side, at least you know now that it's going to be closed - imagine if you didn't know until you got there how upset you'd be.
