Not even a brain tumor can keep me away from WDW!

I am totally loving your little reports of your trips. My DS loves airplane rides. I actually have to tell him not all planes go to see Mickey if we are not going to Disney. He always tells me no Mickey.

So my nonverbal sons favorite words are no yes and Disney Guess I am doing something right.:rotfl:

Just checking in. Made it through my first week of radiation only 14 more to go. Radiation is awful. Makes me feel so tired and just wipes me out. Finding myself getting very jealous reading all your ptr's. So many going in the next few weeks... wish I could take a trip that soon. I need to book my trip soon so I can start making payments but I am still iffy on where to stay. Jess really wants Art of Animation and Stephen pointed out that technically we can afford it. It is just that I dont want to spend that much on a value resort.

 Sorry that radiation is wearing you out. I hope you regain your energy quickly. Please keep us posted on how you're doing. :goodvibes

Just keep in mind that one day, we'll all be jealous of your trip while we sit here and wish we had a ticker. :thumbsup2

I haven't done any research on AoA ... is it more expensive than the other values? :confused3

WOW! :scared1: That's not "value" at all!!! :sad2:

And I agree with Tink, you are so very brave!

Okay, I just had to go see for myself. I figured it out. It's for family suites, not standard rooms. And they're not much higher than the ASMusic suites (higher, yes, but still not bad considering they look MUCH nicer). :thumbsup2 Maybe the rates will be comparable when they open the standard rooms. :goodvibes

Liddy answered but I was going to say the rooms are larger. Good luck picking a hotel. We are DVC and I always have a hard time deciding which one to stay at LOL.

Sorry that you aren't feeling well but I find you to be tremendously brave. Radiation is scary.

I am sorry you aren't feeling well. I, too, find you to be incredibly brave. (((Hugs)))

I hope you are able to find just the right resort for you. ;)

The must for us is a resort with enough space so Jess wont have to share a bed with anyone or should I say so no one will have to share a bed with her :rotfl: I know there is extra space, it was just the sticker shock that got me a bit. I really hate parting with money and it seems that lately I am parting with so much more of it than usual.

A little OT but Got good news yesterday. Our insurance is paying a little over half on Lukes new iPad. They are covering it under adaptive equipment! YAY!

Congrats on the iPad coverage! I would have never thought it could be billed through insurance! Though we would use it for all the great programs for treatment.

Did you ever look into the Villas at OKW? If I was paying over $300 for a suite, I'd want to go there and get a 2BR. The rooms are HUGE!!!! I went to a party there and was shocked by the size of my friends 2BR villa. Came with a full refrig, dishwasher, washer, dryer, jacuzzi tub, shower, dishes, etc.

Followed you over from my TR! Can't wait to catch up! Your dd2 is about 6 months older than my dd! I am do sorry about your health issues...adding you to my prayer list!

Caught up! :goodvibes and adding my 2 cents worth into the mix. Have you thought about POR-Riverside in the bayou area? They come with a trundle bed so Jess could have her own bed?

I am sorry you have such yucky problems with special ed and public schools...makes me mad when fellow educators make the rest of us look so bad!

Where in OK are you at? We are neighbors...kind of! :yay:

I so understand the teenage girl thing...I pray lots that Ab never totally deserts us...

I know where you are with planning and how long 300+ days feels! Let me tell you that the fall will go by in a blurr and you will be wondering where all your planning time went!

Christmas is AMAZING at WDW...the only downside is the crowds but even those can be handled with a sound touring plan before! Then the weather is so unpredictable we went from short weather to seriously needing a winter coat and back and forth the entire trip! Would I go back then, YES...but our next trip (if I get dh to agree) will be during the summer, which is hard for him.

I am hoping that the radiation goes well the next 14 times! Adding you to my prayer list!

:welcome: Momabaarjo! Glad to have you here. I thought about POR, stayed there a few years ago and loved it. Jess really wants AOA though. We are in NW OK.

So I bit the bullet and this morning I booked our trip! We will be staying at Art of Animation (unless I get a better pin for another resort that Jess is intersted in) from December 4th-Dec 11. I did not book for Jerome yet because after looking at the costs he has started getting a little iffy about the trip. He would love to go but afraid he shouldnt put the money into it as he has depleated a great deal of his savings in order to gain full custody of his daughters. He also fears potential legal battles in the future that might be costly. This leads him to being cautious, which is understandable.

Grats on getting booked! :woohoo: I'm sorry to hear about Jerome being on the fence, but I highly admire his caution. He's great to be playing things safe and waiting to see how finances are. I do hope that he'll be able to work a trip into his budget though. :goodvibes

Congrats on the booking!! Did you request a certain type of room?

Sorry about Jerome. Maybe it will work out for them in the end at a different resort? Pop maybe? You'd all be close. It's understandable being cautious. Maybe another year if not then.

COngratulations on booking your resort... That always makes it feel so real. :)

Yahoo on the booking...I can understand your brother not sure about the trip with the legal battles he has ahead of him. Maybe you could still book and then cancel the room at the 45 day mark? I really don't think you will have a lot of problems getting a room for the time you are going!

We are neighbors if you are in NW OK...I am in TX Panhandle!
