I'm in love with this little guy! For all of you who helped me with name suggestions - I think we've settled on Gunner (Gunny for short, thats what some Marines are called, and Luke insisted! LOL).

I'm not a Hunter, but my brother in law trains labs to hunt, and he lives 2 minutes away. He might train him to hunt. His dog has won tons of awards for hunting and is so obediant!

My standard poodle "hunts". She caught 3 star nosed moles this year. I feel sorry for them because they are blind. I made her come in the house. If she caught a duck she would be in really big trouble! And bunnies are definately a "no no".

Actually the hunter shoots the duck, and then the Lab goes into the water and retrieves them.

My cat loves to catch the moles.

We have a Brittany Spaniel...Dh does hunt...but never really had her "professional" trained. She'll go "on point" once in a while...in the back yard, with any old bird. hehehe
