I bought Cirque du Soleil tickets in November for our trip in April, then I see the 30% off tickets on the DVC website. I said to myself, "OK, let me try, but don't hold your breath." So I call DVC today, no good but they give me the ticketing number. I call them and after a few transfers and about 45 minutes, I finally get to someone who says, "I shouldn't be doing this, but I'm going to!!" Woo Hoo!! He cancelled and re-booked and I'm $107.08 richer.
That is what I call good customer service. We leave 2 weeks from today.

That IS great customer service! Congratulations. You'll love La Nouba; it's a great show. I've seen "O" in Las Vegas, but I liked La Nouba better. I think we're going again in May.

I had a CM do that. I won't say where, but...

Between my 7 day PH pass, the DVC discount, and my birthday gift card, I got an AP for $21.00

The CM also said...I'm really not supposed to do this...

I don't really see why it was wrong. We got the APs and will return to WDW more often now and spend more money. It seemed like a good deal for Disney.

We've already decided to add on 50 points -- so Disney has already made out.

You reminded me of something that I read just a couple of weeks ago. Have you guys seen or read, The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch? I read his book and he talks in there how his family bought "100,000 dollar" salt and pepper shakers. He went there when he was little and was supposed to safely hold them for his parents. They had already left the store. He dropped them and his dad or mom went back and asked the manager if they would replace them and they said yes! They had such good memories of the service that they went back over and over again! Therefore, replacing salt and pepper shakers which cost ten bucks earned Disney so much more!

Hi Mike! We'll be there in 2 weeks too, and guess what? I just booked La Nouba today, for April 18th! First timer here, I can't wait. I'm taking my two sons with me to see it. Which night are you going on? The only discounted DVC night, was the 21st, and that is our last night, and I wanted to be in the parks for that. So this will be in the middle of our vacation.

I'm going the 21st. If that was the only discounted night, then I can see why they gave it to me. It is an example of good business practices, because saving me $100 which I will spend on dinner after the show gives me an even more positive feeling about Disney. Those $7 beers at Rose & Crown don't seem that expensive now...

Ya, that was the only night discounted the whole week we're there which is the 15-22nd. I ended up paying 71.00 each, which was fine for me as the discount was only 10.00 less than that. Can't wait to see this show!

This is a great story!
I love it but am sad that in 2009, they would probably just tell the kids, "tough luck".

There are still good people who go out of their way to make things right, even at Disney.
Congrats, by the same token I always tell my son, it never hurts to ask, all that can happen is you get a "no" but every once in a while it may go your way.

It's a wonderful show!
