one of the nights we will be at WDW is a MNSSHP nights, we do not plan to buy the $30 tickets per person to attend this event... but when does it happen? Will we be kicked out of the park early or will a section of the park be closed off to us?

I assume the party just happens after the park is normally closed?

thanks

i think they close early at around 7:00 . but they do the fireworks and parade early.

I am not sure, I had all the plans to do it. But with school just around the corner and saving for our disney vacaton it may not happen. We will pay paying almost 1,000 just for the disney tickets not counting MNSSHP so we may have to pass. But if I happen to have the extra money I will buy them.

They start herding the non MNSSHP guests out of the MK around 6 pm. We never bother spending the extra $$$ either, just park-hop over to Epcot, have a nice dinner and watch illuminations.

If you are at the MK on the day of a party and do not have tickets to the party you will be asked to leave by around 7 pm. Folks staying for the party have wrist bands, so they will know that you have to leave. You will not see the fireworks or evening parades that day, those are during the party for party guests. If you want to see the fireworks at MK you will have to go on a non-party day. We did not do MNSSHP or MVMCP when our kids were little. We did not feel they could stay up late enough to enjoy it and we would be wasting $$$. Now that our kids are older we have done both and enjoyed them :)

The park closes early for non-party guest. The entire park is used for the party.

You will be able to see the afternoon parade, but not the night time one or the fireworks.

Last year they closed the park at 6pm. Guests with tickets for the party were given special wrist bands and could stay until the party opens up at 7pm.

We did not use a day of our park hopper last year on party day, we only had our party tickets that day and were able to enter the park with just those tickets at 4 pm (even though the party didn't officially start until 7). We stayed until the end at midnight, so we were actually in the park for 8 hours.

I will definitely do it again in the future, we had a super time and saved a day on our park hopper pass which we'll use on our next trip. The special parades and fireworks were neat, we also loved the trick or treating and seeing SO MANY characters, all of them in special costumes.

The park closes at 6pm on party nights. The party starts at 7pm.

We considered the party for this year as we are going to be there from 9/27-10/2 but thought that our DS might like it better next year when he can understand more about costumes and trick or treat. It would a lot of money for 2 adults and 3 kids. Our DS who is 3 just needs a bit more time.

So I offered up that I should be able to do dive quest instead. Big fat no from the DH :sad2:

The CMs are very good at clearing the park of non-party guests.

The park officially closes at 6:00p party nights and there will be a BIG sign at the entrance to MK party days telling you just that so you know it closes at 6:00p before you even enter the park.

The people start flooding out around 4:30p. It's amazing. The CMs are all over doing a great job clearing out the park AND getting it ready for the party.

Last year the 'herded' land(s) were Adventureland/Frontierland and not Tomorrowland as its been in the past. That was a surprise!

Anyway, you'll be directed out by 6:00p if you do not have party tickets.

I would try to do it if you can - but not the same day you're at the park. Our kids loved it, we spent 8 hours there, no lines on any of the rides (less than 2 minutes max), got into the park at 4:00, our kids were amazing (age 6,5,4 last year), had no problems whatsoever....of course we had a pool day the next day....

It still is the thing they seem to remember most, riding Splash Mountain so late at night and the parade they seem to remember most of all the ones they've seen
