Hey, everyone! I want to thank you all for your well wishes, it means so much to me! I even see some coming out of lurkdom, thank you!

Baby Squirt is a little over a week old, and doing great. Everyone is happy and healthy and adjusting just fine. I'm tired, but that's life with a newborn! This time, however, we're all more relaxed, and Squirt is a really laidback little guy. We're very, very blessed.

And the hair! I mean, we knew, but my goodness. And it's not red, folks. So far, it's a really dark brown / black.

And you may want to grab the kleenex, but when he was born, he had my mom's eyes. They're starting to change a bit and now they look like a combination of mine and hers. Which just makes me feel like...well, she's still with me. It's been hard, but we're counting our blessings.

Now when to plan that first trip to Disney?
