My dad just walked out of the room. He asked me if I was done with my Christmas list.

" Not yet " me

" I want big stuff, not expensive big stuff though. "me

" We wont be able to get that much stuff for ya hun. " dad

" Why not? " me

" were a little tight this year on money " dad

" why aren't we making any money? "me

" my business changed, im on the edge of getting fired. " dad

Now im all upset. My mom wont stop spending a gazillion dollars everyday.

What if we go broke?

Honestly , im crying. WHAT IF WE DO GO BROKE?

I'm scared too.

My mom racks up thousands of dollars on our bills every month.

What do i do now?

Calm down, your parents have it under control. You don't need to do anything.

Being a little tight on money isn't the worst thing in the world. I'm sure your family will be fine. :)

And what do you mean by "My mom racks up thousands of dollars on our bills every month." ?

She spends too much money. My dad was screaming at her today for racking up a HUGE bill. My dad thinks she is part of the money problem.

Yes I know. I didn't mean to make it sound that way. But, were losing ALOT of money. Forget Christmas, what if we go broke? How will we make a living?

Again, your parents probably have it under control.

Aw Cassidy i'm so sorry i dont know what to say I would say for the Christmas things just be thankful that you have each other but for the money thing just remember your parents probally have it all under control

My mum came back off holiday to find out that they'd changed her job title put her in a new dead end job and cut her pay big time. They didn't really make enough to begin with. So anyways for christmas they went and bought me a trailer. To pay for it they borrowed money right left and centre. A few days later the trailer was stolen. All my christmas presents were based around the trailer, most have gone back now. So i really don't have ANYTHING for christmas and i might have to cut my horse-riding funds off and even lessen my days.
But hey christmas is all about the dinner, i mean giving and being around the family and the decorations
xD

This is what my mom tells me every year.
About not getting that much stuff.
I don't really think about it.

Don't worry about it. I'm sure they have it under control.
Besides you're just a kid, you shouldn't worry about it.
And yes, presents aren't everything.

Why don't you talk to them about it if you are so worried. I know my mom has been in HUGE debt since I started High school because year I go to school it is like buying a very expensive new car. But we are doing fine, I was worried at one point and sometimes I still am, but I just talk to my mom and she assures me that we are fine, now we just need to buy a house...lol

I agree with everyone. You don't really need to worry about it your parents will have it under control and they'll sort it out. That's partly what parents are for.

And no Christmas isn't just about the pressies it's about love and family.

But yeah don't worry it'll probably be sorted before you know it.

And if it isn't (not that im saying it won't be) we're all here for you and your family.

Hope things go well.

Some people have nothing. They don't even have a computer, a phone. I am sure your family will get this situation under control. What do you usually get for Christmas?

Don't worry. You probably won't go broke, and if you do, it's not entirely the end of the world.
Tons of people live in debt with basically little to no spending money after the bills and such are paid. Somehow, they still get by.

I'm sure your dad won't get fired, and if he does, he'll probably go find another one =)
Just keep positive.

My dad said that I wouldn't get as many presents, because "money was tight" too.
But I know we're okay right now.

Maybe things aren't that bad.
And if they are, no worries.
You still have your family, that's all that matters.

But we just went to Florida, Texas, and Germany in the past three months, as well as getting a lot of work done on our house, so I know he's exaggerating.

Wow well...maybe that's why he said money was tight!

I know you probably didn't mean it this way, but after spending so much money on all those other things, it would be normal for money to be a little tight. :)

Oh, I actually didn't think of it that way...
I kinda just figured, if we spent money on all that stuff, we must still have had money left over...
Actually, I don't really know how I figured at all. Haha.

And after rereading what I wrote, it sounds a little condesending, and I didn't mean it to sound like that at all.
Sorry if I offended anyone.

And OP, I hope everything works out okay.

Were in debt of about 120,000 dollars right now.
