Hey, Peg! I had the same thing this summer (nosebleeds) and went to an ENT. After a CT scan, they found TONS of polyps in my right sinus cavity. Living in the Ohio Valley, it's just a way of life. They also found that my left sinus cavity was completely filled with an infection and they put me on 3 weeks of antibiotics and antibiotics. I still have nosebleeds, but at least they're minor...

Thanks, everyone! So far, no further problem. I hope it continues. As I told my sister yesterday, I'd sooner have a branding iron stuck up my nose than have it packed again!

Wow...I had my nose packed one time when I was in elementary school...but the school nurse did it, not the ER. It wasn't very comfortable. Glad you're feeling better! I can relate with the nose bleeds...I used to have miserable nosebleeds when I was a pre-teen. Clots and junk like that...I'm glad I've outgrown that now. Hope all keeps going well for you!

Several people I know who have bad sinus problems have a contoured sinus cavity. Instead of a smoothe tube the bottom follows the hills and valleys of the teeth roots. Making drainage difficult.
