NOT a "frequent flyer" -have a question (SW)

I am one of the unlucky minority for whom it IS actually taking weeks and weeks for my Southwest promo points to be awarded into my account. Only a miracle would have them appearing by this Mon when the flights are posted for our Sept travel.

I DO have 47K points in my RR account right now (transferred from Chase Sapphire) so probably enough to get 5 of us our flights DOWN to FL.

This is our 1st time ever flying so to say I'm a newbie is an understatement!!

Our flights down are more time-sensitive since we'd like to get an early flight and have a good chunk of the day for non-park WDW stuff. I don't want to see the early flights sell out while I wait for our promo points to be awarded.

Would it pose any problems for me to buy our flights down to Orlando and then once my 50K promo points from Chase SW card come thru, buy our return flights??

That should be fine as long as the points reach your account in a reasonable time. We always book our flights separately in case flights come down in price.

If you dont need the return flight at any particular time you shouldn't have a problem. Good luck.
