NOT a debate: Kerry's views on same sex marriages???

I don't live in the US and I'm trying to make an informed decision about "choosing" a candidate. Media coverage here is limited, so it's been hard for me to find info on some issues. This is NOT meant to be a debate, and I would really wouldn't want in to go into "personal" opinions about SSM. So, can someone tell me where can I find Kerry's views on the subject?

That is what they had in their issues section about Kerry's views on the topic.

But I can tell you his views. He believes that legal "marriage" should be between a man and a woman, but that there should also be an alternative "civil union" that can be chosen by those that feel otherwise. He believes in equal rights for both gays and straight people, just a different "label" on it.
