Not 1 man stopped to help!

Something tells me I'm not a hottie anymore.

I went to Home Depot earlier tonight. Putting in another flower bed & I needed to buy peat moss, & garden soil. BIG heavy bags. Well, I managed to get them onto the flat cart, & pushed out to my car. But then I realized I needed to lift them again into my Forester. Thats the problem with these cars, you buy stuff you can fit in it, but not necessarily lift into it. lol

Not one guy in the parking lot offered to help. I had managed to get about 1/2 of them into the car when I see a man walking directly towards me. I stopped, & stood up & smiled at him. He grabs an empty carriage next to my car & walks away.

Man my back is aching. That's 2 signs now I'm getting old.

But those poor men have to be careful these days lest some woman cry "sexual harrassment" when he so much as looks at her.

Why didn't you ask the store to help you load? That's what they are there for. Don't rely on the kindness of strangers - make the store do what they are paid to do!

I would have too! I always make DH help people if he doesn't think of it himself first..lol...he usually does on his own though.

I would've helped you (i'm female). But then again, I also go out of my way to hold doors open and pick things up for people.

My aching back is my own stupidity though. I have an 11" stainless steel rod in my back & should NOT have even tried to lift them. But I'm stubborn like that. OR I could have bought 2 smaller bags for each large bag...but that cost more $.

I was just shocked at that guy as he took the carriage & walked away. Hurt my self-esteem, ya know.

Hey, maybe it was the cow-manure that got on my shirt when I lifted one of the bags. Ya think?

There weren't any other woman around. Just men.

And, I never saw an employee in the garden area. I got them onto the cart somewhat ok by sliding them, but it was harder to lift them into the car & didn't realize it until I was already outside.
