Norwegian Fjords excursion help

Not DCL, but we are going on Celebrity.

I have already search cruise critic and the majority of their suggestions were not fitting the bill for us. A bus tour is not really our thing. Would prefer a llittle more adrenaline, esp. with a 15 year old teenage daughter.

Any suggestions or advice on what to do in these ports:

Krisitansand, Norway ~ (looked into a RIB boat excursion)
Haugesand, Norway ~ OPEN
Geiranger, Norway ~ (looking into kayak tour)
Alesund, Norway ~ OPEN

I was thinking of a bike tour, but from what I have read their bikes are bigger and not suited for a petite person which isn't good since I stand at 5'2" on a good day.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Dh and 15 yr old son did kayak tour from https://www.geirangerfjord.no. Excellent. They sent a van to pick us up at the port. Email them to request.
For Alesund, we walked thru town and did the 500 steps walk up to look out point. Not difficult (5 yr olds did it) and a nice mix of outdoors/exercise and scenery. Fun small town to walk around. My teens liked this day.

I can't vouch for it yet, but we also seek adventure and just booked the Wildlife Sea Safari for us (also will have a 15 year old daughter this summer) in Alesund which is a RIB. We’ve done the RiB boat. Loved it. It was very bouncey though.

As for Geiranger we did an excursion to a lake ‘ maybe a glacier I can’t remember now. We had a boat ride on a lake. Then on the way back we got off the bus in town and walked back to port.

I did the RIB boat in Nordfjordeid and had a great time. It’s a lot of fun!

In Alesund I walked around the town which is really cute, at some ice cream, and then walked up a ton of stairs to the viewport for a gorgeous view of the town and docked ships.

That is the tour I want! Unfortunately, as of right now, it is only showing 10am departure. We get in at 11:30. I am going to send an email this upcoming week asking if more times will become available. I am shocked X doesn't have this as an excursion, but I don't think they have all the excursions posted yet. Haugesand doesn't have a single excursion yet.

I did see this, it was the first RIB tour that caught my eye. Kristiansand doesn't have as much to offer as Alesund, so that is why I switched the RIB tour to that port.

Bouncey and fast is what my family will love.

The Hop-on Hop-off bus had a stop right by the ship. The route goes by most of the key sites - the overlook, the Aquarium, the town center. We enjoyed our visit. Bring layers as the weather will change . . . a lot.

Are the stairs within walking distance of the ship?

Bumping my thread to see if I can get any more ideas on these cities.

Celebrity still showing very limited excursions in our ports. I feel it is due to Norway being in the off season right now. I have contacted X and they are supposed to get back with me as soon as their shore excursions operations team in Norway responds to them. Strange, but nothing else I can do at this point.

Kristiansand ~ still wanting RIB boat tour. Contacted the company directly and was told I have to book through my cruise line. Celebrity only has 2 excursions for this port currently, and of course they are both sold out. Hoping they will add another time slot for the RIB boat tour.

Haugensand ~ still open to suggestions (if I cannot get RIB boat for Krisitiansand, it will be booked here.)

Geiranger ~ booked kayak directly through tour company. They originally had it for 10am and our ship doesn't get in until 11:30am. Tour company switched the starting time!

Alesund ~ hiking and walking around the city.
