Can anyone tell me if the food is good at the Norway Princess dining in Epcot....specifically for Lunch/Dinner. We have so many breakfast things planned already I'm hoping do do Lunch or Dinner and I hear that is the best place to meet princesses. DH thinks the food may be gross. Wondering what anyone thought of it and also....do you have PIX to post for me!?!?! Of the food or the princesses??

THANKS!

I don't have any pictures of the food, sorry. However, we did eat there for Dinner last year. Everyone gets to eat from the cold bar which has salads, cheeses, and meats on it. Then, you choose your entree. Keep in mind that this is traditional Norwegian fare, so it is not what we are used to in the US. It is different, so you will have those that love it and those that don't care for it at all.

Overall, we found it to be ok. It was worth it for us because my daughter loved seeing the princesses. I didn't care for my food, but I just went back to the bar and got some more salad. which I loved.

For dessert they will bring out one tray for the whole group to share. I can't remember exactly what was on it. My husband didn't like it at all. I like rice pudding, so it was fine for me.

I would say that the food takes some getting used to. Check out the menu board to see exactly what is offered for lunch and dinner, the menus change depending on the meal.

We liked it, the food was different, but that was part of seeing something new for us! The best part is the servers were very kind and helpful. This was the only restaurant where we were offered recipes, even tho we made no comment about the food? As well it is norweigian custom to not let your guests go home hungry, so they will continue to serve you entrees. DH had the cold bar buffet and 2 entrees and I am sure he could have had more because it was good to sample!
This was in 2007, so things may have changed since then, but I had read this in UG and it was true for us.

This trip we are going for breakfast, but would do dinner again.

We went for lunch last year. My husband likes just about any kind of food and had been wanting to give this place a try (even though I told him it was all PRINCESSES and little girls all dressed up). He had the braised lamb and did not like at all. I had their traditional something or other (something like a meatloaf) and it was not good at all. The only good part was the cold buffet bar and the mashed potatos with my meat. Even the desserts were not that impressive.

Lunch isn't bad... I wouldn't count on the cold bar its not that good and stay away from the cheeses, nasty cheese.... I think my wife had some kind of trout which she didn't have any problem with... I tried something called kjottkaker or something like that, it was sort of a cross between a meatball and a meat patty... it was surprisingly good... but a lot will depend on what your tastes are... if your used to a bland diet you might think it has too much flavor... if your used to spice in your life its probably a little on the bland side.

OK so how about Breakfast. I'm thinking THAT may be the way to go.

OR would the 1900 Park Fare princess dinner be a good option? I was thinking of giong to bkfst there but maybe dinner is good??? WHO shows up at the 1900 Park Fare princess meals??

THANKS again!

We have not been yet we have an ADR for lunch in Aug., but I looked at the menu and it looks to us like Ikea food.
So if you have ever been to Ikea you will know what you are in for. My family likes Ikea's food. DD-5 begs to go there regularly.
