Can anyone answer a question for me please. Going to Epcot with NO dining plan. Reserved the princess brkfst for late May. Taking a 2 yr. old. Will they charge for her and how much??? Also, will price increase due to Memorial day? Do you also know if the tip is included.

Thanks so much--------M :)

P.S. Do I need to prove she is 2?

P.s.s. on that note, doing o'hana brkfst also. I hear it is family style. Again, no dining plan. Will they charge for the 2 yr. old here as well?

I don't think they will. I know on the dining plan they don't, so I assume they don't. And she's not charged admission either. Most likely she will barely eat anything anyways.
If you are worried about provign it, just bring her birth certificate along, but usually they use the honor system

Buffets and family style meals, ages 2 and under eat free. They will not ask for proof of age.

I don't think Memorial Day is considered for the "holiday increase". I think it's mostly T-giving and Xmas, but not sure.

Not sure if tip is included. Doing both those meals this June for the first time myself. :rotfl:

Thank you for the input. It would help out if they don't charge for her.

Can't wait to try these places out. Here they are great. Hope you enjoy your trips as well.

According to allears:
In other dining news, the holiday surcharge for buffet and character meals around the World is returning, as previously announced. Prices for meals during these dates will be several dollars more per person than at other times of the year. The dates affected are April 5 - April 18, 2009, and May 24 - July 11, 2009. For example, at the Magic Kingdom's Crystal Palace, prices will be as follows:

Breakfast: $22.99/Guest (10 and older)--$12.99/Guest (3-9) (regularly $18.99/$10.99)
Lunch: $24.99/Guest (10 and older)--$13.99/Guest (3-9) (regularly $20.99/$11.99)
Dinner: $34.99/Guest (10 and older)--$16.99 Guest (3-9) (regularly $28.99/$13.99)

so yes, the Holiday surcharge will be in effect for Memorial Day.

Sorry :guilty:

Tip is not included with the price at Akershus.

The age, I'm pretty sure, is 3. My twins will turn 3 AFTER our Disney trip, and the ADR CM this morning kept telling me how they would not be charged for any of the meals as long as we didn't order their own plates (i.e., they eat off of our plates). So, 2 should be quite easy for you. :thumbsup2

Still, I plan to have their birth certificate copies with me since they are tall and communicate very well (thanks to two older brothers!). They will be only 7 weeks shy of their 3rd birthday, so I want to be "safe!"

Best,
Jeni

A friend of mine went to WDW with her twins a month before they turned 3, and she brought their birth certificates just in case. She was never asked to show proof. But I think she did the right thing, just in case they ask or try to charge you. After all, the rule is that they are free if they are under 3 so if they tried to charge me I would be upset, and just bring along proof as a precaution.
