The only way for us to get into EPCOT early is to do the Norway Princess breakfast.

We could get an 8 am ADR

Price I think will be $40/adult.
It will be Sunday, July 1st - so will the price be higher because of the 4th of July weekend ? I hope not.

Now for food - is it worth it ?
Menu says:
Disney Princesses and Friends Adult Family Style Character Breakfast - Norwegian-style breakfast with an American twist. Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Potato Casserole, Fresh Breakfast Breads, Fresh Seasonal Fruit, Juice, Coffee, and Milk The price on this varies from $36 to $59 depending on the season and day *

No pancakes or Mickey waffles ?
No buffet area with additional foos options ?

$40 for Scrambled Eggs & Bacon worth it ?

If you only want to go there to be in the park early, I wouldn't do it. That's $100+ just to walk into WS and eat. I'm assuming FW will open at 9 am that day and WS will open at 11 am, so by eating at 8 am, you are actually putting yourself at risk of not getting on some of the major rides early as you are going to have to walk all the way back to FW. I guess I'm assuming that's why you want to do it as you mention it's the only way to get into the park early? The only thing that will be open is Akershus - no shops, no rides. If the point is to get on rides early, I would save your money, eat breakfast outside the park and be at the EP entrance at rope drop. Again, not sure why you want to be in EP before it opens?

Its only worth the money for the entertainment value of seeing the princesses, gettting autographs and pictures, and not standing in line. The food is good but nothing spectacular.

What is your reason for getting into EPCOT early? As PP pointed out, World Showcase doesn't open until 11 and if you have an 8am ADR at Akerhaus, you will probably get out after regular opening of Future World. Also, you may want to verify it's not an EMH morning for EPCOT or you'll really be behind the ride curve.

We do princess meals because DD is into them hard core... def not for the food. I'd rather eat and have several visit than try to hunt them down in the parks.

I thought the food that they brought to the table was good and the other room with the fruits and bagels and other items were delishish...we enjoyed it and the kids had a blast...the princesses take their time with each family...
we are going in May with five adults and two kiddos...I am looking forward to it..
yes you do need park admission..but most people have the hoppers or AP..

We love Akershus breakfast. We do use the DDP, but when we don't use it, we still would pay to eat there. The cold buffet has a wonderful variety of fruits, pastries, cheeses, yogurt and toppings, plus lox and other fish. Then of course the hot plate that comes to your table is just as good (we are in love with the cheesy potatoes). The princess interaction is very good as well. There is no Mickey waffles, but I have read from a few DISers that said that they had asked if they could get pancakes and the chef had no problem making them.

Eight of us went a few years back. Out of the 4 kids, I think one truely enjoyed seeing the princesses. The food was ok, but the overall price didn't seem right. If your kids are on the 9-10 year old or younger age, I think they would enjoy the interaction with the face characters. Just not for us anymore, mainly because of our kids ages now. Our kids are not exactly kids anymore the more I think of it! 20,18,16,14. We did this back in May 2007. Have fun either way!

No. The food is good, but it's not worth what you are paying for it, especially since it sounds like you are craving a Mickey waffle and they don't have those. You are paying for the interaction with the princesses (which was fantastic when we were there -- definitely worth it for a princess fan) and maybe to get in early.

If you want to get into EPCOT early to see the park without people in it then this is a good way to do it (so long as the park opens at 9 AM).

We are in a toss up to do the Norway breakfast or not to.

If we stay at the Dolphin - yes we would do the boat entrance.
If we stay at the POFQ - we would do the Future World entrance.

Our kids are 17 & 20.
They do like breakfast and buffets over other meals.

We need to do a family meeting to decide on meals for our next WDW adventure.

Our 180 day mark is December 26th - so I guess it will be part of our Christmas Day activities.

Thank you for the advice. Sounds like Norway breakfast is a no.

Actually for the price, the lunch/dinner selection is much better. The meals are fairly good and the buffet is awesome.

The character interaction the two times I went seemed to be a bit more for the dinner time.
