Interesting. I hope the well passengers don't get greedy and say they were sick just to get the benefits. I know nobody here would do it - but you never know. I wonder if they had to report to the infirmary to say they caught the bug or not, just in case for some it was just plain seasickness they were suffering from?

I too sympathize with any ill person, but realistically, anytime you are in crowds of people ie. shopping mall, sporting event, church, school etc. you are susceptive to any contagious disease. I am sure the lawyers will have a field day as well as the media. They thrive on misery. No matter what DCL does, there will be those that feel it should be more. Funny how we equate illness/injury with monetary compensation! It's ok to get sick as long as someone forks over $$$$$. A sad commentary on society. Maybe we ought to sue schools when our children come down with the chicken pox too! The one heartening thing is the contributers to these boards seem to be far more positive and reality based than much of the general public. No company is going to put its revenues at risk intentionally, and people have to realize that there are risks present in everything we do. Life doesn't come with guarantees and we all must be responsible for our own actions/decisions.

and then went to WDW for 3 days. Two days after getting off the ship my 17 month DS spent the entire day in our hotel room throwing up and had stomach problems. The next day on our drive from Florida to NC my 4 year old DS threw up the whole way. Not sure what they had or how they got it but my DH and myself also got it the next day as did my parents who were with us? The only thing I could think of was my 17 month picking up something in Flounders???
