OK--I'm not excusing what this guy did at all. BUT, in MN this is getting a lot of press. I'd like to clarify a couple of points: first, he was off duty and not on-the-clock when he was arrested; second, he has been a pilot for over 20 years and has been tested on a very regular basis by NWA; third, he ran a sober house here in the Twin Cities and helped a lot of people overcome their addictions; and finally, he has been sober for a number of years himself and his friends say that they cannot understand how he relapsed so out of the blue.
Like I said, I am not excusing what he did. I just want to be sure that people know the whole story and understand that people flying NWA were not in any danger.
