Northface at Macy's

I can't believe they don't consider Uggs high enough quality. I still miss Marshall Fields. I used to like to give gifts from Marshall Fields because I felt it made it a little more special. I've kept on giving Frango mints as gifts, but other than that, I just don't feel the Macy's has the same specialness to it. I do occasionally buy things there, but overall their sales and coupons exclude so many things, I much prefer going to Kohls.

They are selling some Ugg copies that are still $109 which is just crazy. If you're going to spend that kind of money you may as well get the Uggs.

They are not Uggs copies they are EMU's they another Australian company just like Uggs a lot of celebrities wear them just like they did years ago when Uggs became popular.

No it's not that Macy's didn't think Uggs were good enough for them. Uggs thinks Macy's isn't good enough!

Can someone tell me about Northface....what is the draw? Is it just the name brand that is the "in" brand right now? They seem like nice quality fleece jackets, but there are other brands that would be comparable for a lot less.

(No disrespect intended to anyone with my question...my dd is only 7 and is not yet brand conscious, but I am sure that will change soon!)

Yes, for us it is totally just the name. Just wait your daughter will get there! The denali's seem to be the big draw around here. I have worn my daughter's coat before and while I find it very comfortable, it is not warm at all. She is 15 and likes to wear what the kids are wearing so I look for sales and on birthdays and christmas I try to get her the things that she desires without breaking the bank.

I just did a search for Macys Friends and Family and was able to print out the coupon to bring into the store. It does say, "save off your favorite designer brands" The only exclusions I could read were for Coach, Louis Vitton, Tempur Pedic and some others I was not familiar with. But it does work for North Face and Dooney and Bourke (at least online with the macysff code) but I am heading to the store anyway to check on sizes for the North Face.

Great find! Its not easy to find any percents off for North Face unless its an older color, even then its hard to find all the sizes.

I believe those are only if you are buying online. My friend was able to buy coach with the discount no problem yesterday! Happy shopping all!

I just wanted to tell my "tale".
I made the trip to Macy's to get my DD her Denali (yup, 14 yo who's very label savy-- she really didn't want to pay full $$) but while I was there found another, down puffy jacket in the women's Northface area that had 25% off, add in another 25% for F&F and it came out to only a few $$ more than the kids denali-- what a great find.
When I showed Libby she said "but none of the kids wear this, they just wear the Denali." to which I said, bet they would wear it "IF" they found it at the price we did.
Now to find a way to get a slight discount on the pink short UGGs. She's OK with F-Uggs but really wants short pink. Unf. her foot is a bit too large for the kids size. We were able to get away with the Girls' XL Denali since it's cut rather large, women's might have looked better BUT not for $80 more, I just draw the line there.

Well, your daughter is going to be ahead of the times because the Denali has been the must have jacket here (Maryland) for the last 3 years, but now since everyone has caught up with the trend, all of the ultra cool fashion forward kids have ditched them for the puffy northfaces to stand out of the crowd. They are way warmer too. My daughter has had a Denali for 2 years and now wants the puffy one.
