Yippee! I just got an Illuminations Cruise for May 5th! It did mean changing around a couple ADR's. I was ready to just give up, but Steve encouraged me to try again today. I'm glad he did!

Now I have to figure out how to reduce the noise level for our DGD-3. She hates loud noises, but loves to watch fireworks from a distance. Will regular ear plugs work for her?

When Katie was younger she did not like the loud noise from fireworks so we used the foam ear plugs.

Good Morning Cruisers!

As Scott says - high today of 59 degrees, currently 44 degrees, 36 with wind chill figured in!

It was a beautiful day yesterday also, got out for a good walk with the dogs! Today I get to water the trees (yes, here we have to water our trees in the winter, because there is no snow cover, and because the wind dries them out so much!).

Bob, we still have a few years before we are ready to retire. But we are already starting to ask ourselves some of these same questions. Last year we started a huge debt reduction plan that will have all debt, including our house, paid off in just a few years. At that time we've decided that I will retire and maybe work part-time to keep busy. But I am really anxious to do more volunteer work with our local mission and spend even more time with the grandkids. Definitely understand what you mean by "feed the soul."

If I have to work, I might as well be enjoying it. Somewhat of novel thought lately.
We will just have to figure it all out at Diversions with some liquid refreshment.

We had a beautiful 51 degree day yesterday. Most of the snow and ice is thawed.

One problem with that.... it ended up in our basement! Due to budget cuts, our city service department can not come out until Monday morning to repair the sewer at the street.


So we have almost a foot of water at the low end of the basement and maybe 3 inches at the high point. Lots of work ahead when the water receeds.
