Marilyn - would be great to meet you if you are able to make it. :thumbsup2

Tammy - I would love to do the B2B2B - sounds amazing!

I like both of the logo designs that you have come up with so far. :goodvibes

It would be great to meet. I seem to remember a few days ago that some others are there at the same time, so we must try and get a move on arranging something! I know Ann and Albert(Bilbo and Frodo) are there for Mousefest, and LisaG and hubby Darryl too. Can't remember the others.

I got to thinking about why some of the Northern Caps cruises go to Helsinki, Finland and the others go to Estonia. Why not go to both?!

Sea days are good down-times to rest...but two back-to-back sea days seems excessive. It's not likely I've ever make it back to the Gulf of Finland and I think it's be nice to visit both Finland and Estonia.

Anyone else feel this way? Think there is any chance DCL would listen to a petition from cruisers signed up from this cruise to make the additonal port of call?

I think that Disney is trying to appeal to those who LOVE the sea days. There are several cruises that do the Baltics that include both ports of call. I priced several of them to see how far out of whack the prices on the DCL were based on all the complaints. I didn't find the DCL prices, at least for the inside cabin, to be much more overpriced than they usually are on the Caribbean sailings.

Ive been off the thread for awhile and last night I started on page 50 and am now caught up!:yay:

Tammy, I too am sorry for your loss. Know that your son has someone special watching over him and DD too.
I like your Chris Farley comment about vaca! I could here it very clearly in my head!

Why this cruise? Its the Maiden and we did the Maiden Med and LOVED it!

Would still love to see photo of mini navigator, however who ever posted the description of it, thank you! Sounds really cool or kewl!

We can help with lanyards or bracelets. I know exactly where my Med lanyard is and if they will be like that, thay are very comfy, you get so used to it you hardly know its there.

White Nights sounds interesting but all I could think of was the MIkail B and Greg Hines movie!

Granmaz, Im glad very thing turned out good for you all!

Hygeine99 (Peter!) How are you? You are not going on this cruise?
Chris is not real good at remembering people he meets on trips, but he does remember you. Are you going to the Baltics, just at another time?

Sue, Im going to pm you, but we also have early seating. Its worked for us the last 3x so why change especially since we should be back on board by then.

I like the graphics. Just a suggestion, is there anyway we, and I use the term loosely because even my scrap books have a disclaimer that says I cant even draw a straight line!:goodvibes
add like a flag boarder or the flags to it in some way? But I like the real pic of Mickey over the other!

Momof2Princesses, I for one one would like you to look in Norway/Epcot. Theyve got those different international Mickey heads, like they have on pressed pennies and maybe you could think of something along those lines.

Ok, I think thats all of my comments. I will not let this get this far behind again, its too hard to remember everything I want to say!

OH! and maybe, just maybe the person spelled Baltics "Batlics" to keep in the spirit of the season?:goodvibes
In other words, Happy Halloween!!

I placed first in the men's Wyoming Division of the Tower of Terror 13K race!!!!!

Lynn Placwed first in the Ladies Wying Division.

How KEWL is that.

Saw Cayla today.

Welcome back Rita.:woohoo:

Monica, I like the flags, and I think I would like the Mickeys if I could see them. I am too old to see that small. :3dglasses

Scot H. & Lynn way to go! That's impressive coming in 1st! I couldn't do that! :thumbsup2

I too like the updated image #1505 better than 1506. I like that you added the ship in the upper left hand corner.

It would be nice but I don't think Disney would ever change their minds on adding the other port.

Sincerely,
Sue (or maybe since there is a Sue I should be auntsue, my Disney name, or Sue2)

:sad1:
I got to meet Virgil Thursday night - very nice guy. He would have been nicer if he would have let us win! Oh well only 4 more losses and the season is over......wonder if we will have a new coach next year?

I cried...:sad1: (class of '87) I'm with you...waiting for this season to be over :sad2:

OK, everyone, I guess I have to get here a lot more regularly!
Y'all chat a lot!

I am interested in the FE, the lanyards, the scrapbook class, the mini navigators (though I missed the description of that) but I know NOTHING so bear with me, ok?:confused3 Y'all are the experts! :worship:

We are also going to be in WDW 6-9 December so we can eat at V&A on our 30th wedding anniversary. If y'all come up with a meet during that time, I'd be interested meeting y'all!
I promise to check in more often. I just didn't expect this much talk yet! Woooee!

We can all join you at V&A!!!:lmao: That's ok isn't it?

The mini navigator that Linda did for us all for the PC Repo in May had all our cabin numbers and occupants, Dis meets and activities, Fish Extender groups and dates, special occasions, deck plans with Dis members' cabins, etc. It was extremely useful and I used it every day.

Sounds like a great idea! :thumbsup2

Are you an Auburn fan?
yup...an alum...Class of '87!
My 'home' is also Georgia....Albany...

Man, you can't blink around here or pages will pass you by. I'm giving it my best try this time. :thumbsup2

Has anyone been to the Polynesian Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show in the last couple years? If so, what were your thoughts.

Went last year. Didn't think it was anything special. The food is okay and the venue needs redone (in my opinion).

Last night I realized that we are going to be in St. Petersburg for the White Nights. I am so excited about the prospect of getting to see this.

I had a dream last night that my DD and I were in a foreign airport and we got separated somehow and I was intensely afraid. I guess I am already stressing over the thought of flying with the kids overseas. I am going to have to get a direct flight and handcuff us all together. Just kidding about the handcuffs. ;)

I am so excited about the white nights. I may look into a Visa after all.

I know what you mean about losing the kids in a foreign country.

Normandy is beautiful, if there was any place in the world I could live it is there. Spent a weekend in Bayeux, saw the famous tapestry and all the battle sites. It was AMAZING

I loved Normandy. Our home base was Deauville. (sp?) There are a lot of nice hotels there.

There are 3 shows coming up in the nest 2 weeks pertaining to our cruise.
All 3 are on HDNET - Smart Travels with Rudy Maxa. He's pretty good. Not as perky as Samantha Brown (but who is), but has more energy than Rick Steves

I love Smart Travels. I tivo them all. I like Rick Steves, but he's kind of corny sometimes. Thank you for the info.

A bit off topic but I know that quite a few of you are going to WDW for Mousefest. Are any of you going to the Podcast Dessert party?

I will be there and am so excited! I have yet to ride Toy Story Mania but will get to ride it over and over at the party! :yay:

I thought I knew everything. What is Mousefest?

That's me - from Wheeling which is near Pittsburgh. I thought I recognized the name... Glad you're joining us again! I hope that we can both make the trip over this time without plane hassles...

I have some second cousins that are Doctors in Wheeling, but I'm not sure of their last name. It is a whole family: the dad is a doctor and the mom is a nurse and I believe their son Carter is a doctor as well.

I got to thinking about why some of the Northern Caps cruises go to Helsinki, Finland and the others go to Estonia. Why not go to both?!

I am so with you on this. I would petition them. :thumbsup2

Hello everyone! I actually booked this cruise back on the day they were released but just now getting around to finding this thread. It will be myself, my DH Dennis, and our DS Christopher who will be 14 at the time of sailing. But don't tell them that I booked because I am keeping it a secret for now. I have been dropping hints to my husband how much we would enjoy this cruise, but the cost is rather high not including airfare from here in Indy to either Paris or London. After all, if we are going to the expense to go to Europe why not see as much as we can while we are there (it is cheaper than going back, at least for a while!). This sounds like a pretty crazy group of people, so we will fit right in! We are disney cruise addicts, having started 3 years ago and taking number 6 in December. I can't wait to see the world disney style!

Laura
WELCOME! :upsidedow
This will be our fourth Disney Cruise. We were on the Med Cruise in 2007 & had a GREAT time! We too set the date to watch the video of the announcement of the new itineraries. We had planned on going to Alaska in 2009 but when we saw all the ports Disney was going to we put aside Alaska until hopefully the new ships. We also made our reservations on the first day.

To answer a previous question we picked Finland cause my cousin spent a year in Finland & enjoyed it so here we are! It will be fun seeing the city with the little mermaid statues. And Russia WOW!

There will be 6 of us going. Myself, DB, His wife, My niece (who will be 10 by the time of the cruise) & my 2 nephews who will be 24 & 27.

Is it too early to start packing? :woohoo:
WELCOME WElCOME! ;)

Saw Cayla today.

That's awesome! Congrats!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
