John is just back from the doctors. His scan was clear!:yay: The doc is treating him for blocked sinus at the moment though the scan report didn't mention that either. Relieved is the word here.

That is wonderful!!!!

Good morning!

I'll try to remember to scan in my lanyard from the PC cruise so you can see what some of us are talking about.

Sue & Gydell - thanks for the input on the mileage ?

Marilyn - YEAH!! Whew! So glad the scan was clear.

Off to run errands today prior to a dr's appt and meeting Kaz tonight at 6pm for ice cream :)

Have a great day!

Quick question: Do you guys wear the lanyards around the ship? I hate to be a party pooper, but we have a ton of these things and never wear them. On our ABD trip last month the guides gave them out the first night and not one of the 32 in the group ever wore theirs. They even gave out a new pin each day to put on it. But still no one wore them. But if everyone wants to do this, I will donate to the cause. I just don't think you will ever see Steve or me wear one. I guess I could hang them from our fish or somewhere on the door.

:flower3: I hope that doesn't make anyone mad. The only time I wear lanyards is when I am forced to at a conference or such.

As others have already mentioned, the lanyards we have had in the past have a thin neck strap and are very comfortable, it is a great place to keep your room key - and it really helps identify all those folks you have gotten to know chatting on the boards!!!!! We wear ours for the whole cruise.

This is great news, hope the sinus treatment helps!

Wow...not been on for a day or so and had lots to catch up on.
How can we get a graphic for our cruise? Does someone on the cruise usually design it?

On every cruise that I have been on, someone artistic (or several artistic folks) has (have) come up with one or more graphics - I am sure with all the folks on here that someone fits that category!

Marilyn, that is great news about John. I know you both must be relieved.

That woman in the scooter sounds like a total nightmare.:scared1: I hope I never get run into, or meet her.

I wish I was creative enough to come up with a logo, but that's definately not me.:lmao: There's plenty of time, I'm sure someone will be able to come up with something.

We saw her run a woman over in the art gallery hallway - then yell at the woman she hit!!:scared1:

I was there!!!!!!! I thought my head was going to explode! She ran into our whole family right in that hallway! It was so crowded at that point and she was just going through like a bulldozer!:sad2:

Some people have no manners.:sad2:

 Great news Maz :)

Debbie, Thanks so much for the great website. I am really enjoying seeing the pictures of those that have sent theirs in so far. I love seeing what everyone looks like. I think that I might make a quick brochure with everyone's info and pictures to take with me on the cruise.

hi you all, don't shoot me, I have friends on this cruise although I'm on the one for the 24th - heck I even have friends in the same cabin, just a different cruise -

Do you realize your thread title says "Batlic cruise?"

:lmao: Well I hadn't noticed, and it took me ages to see what you were getting at. I still see it as Baltic!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I hadn't noticed either, the eye sees what it wants to see.

It really does prove that thing of as long as the letters are close to the right order your brain will still recognize what word it is.

Thats the research I was thinking of.

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

A co-worker of my mom's (not for long she retires on Oct 30! ) went on a cruise last year with most of the same ports. The port times were also similar. He suggested late seating, because it was very enjoyable to watch the ship leave the ports. Especially in Stockholm, it was interesting to watch them navigate out of the port.

We enjoyed watching the shoreline and the views from the ship as we leave the ports, so I think we will stay with late seating, and just hope it is not the really late one!

He also is letter her look at some incredible books from St. Petersburg:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 It is a beautiful city and I can not wait to go there! He also lent her a book on Stockholm. There are some great places there to see!

How many more days to wait?! (I gotta get a tickern:thumbsup2 )

Debbie

I knew there was a good reason why we booked late dining! That's it! Thanks Debbie!

Great News granmaz. Always good to hear.

Ditto!

Speaking of tests. I had an MRI last week because my back and shoulder isn't getting any better from the two idiots that have rear ended me and run the red light this year.....

Anyway, MRI showed some minor spine things so they are using traction for that and then an ultrasound on Monday showed a partial tear in my left shoulder (about where the seatbelt goes), but no surgery should be required for either, thank goodness. So now I got a cortisone shot and am doing PT for three more weeks, then back to the spine doctor.

This has been a pain (in more ways than one) since April and then June.

Linda, I'm sorry to hear you're in pain, but at least you shouldn't have to have surgery for it. :wizard: that you'll feel better soon.

Sorry to hear this, have you seen a Pain Management Dr? Also have they considered anything like RSD aka CRPS?

Hope you get some pain relief soon :)
