Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

OK will Ducky be on this cruise, if so, we are thinking about packing a mailing tube,

We are trying to remember if DVCL sold them on past cruises????

you know, I think they did. But since we have a bunch of them, I might pack my socks inside one to bring along.

I kinda remember DCL selling them, we shall see. We have been packing and are very close to our 20 kilo limit.

It's all those little don't weigh much things that add up lol

the cruise must be coming up soon, Chuck has set up the long white folding table we use for packing for cruises. I guess I better start organizing some clothes!

We got about 95% packed yesterday just last min stuff to pack in carry on, we are under 20 kilos in our bags,

Looking over maps etc

I finished my packing list yesterday. I've also finished most of my pre-cruise shopping that I needed to do. Got a new packable jacket, new sneakers, etc. All I need now is a new camera case and I need to start and finish my FE gifts.

.

Be sure to break in those new sneakers .... Last thing you want are blisters!:scared1:

Saw that the suitcases were in the hall and had a little twinge of excitement!
We have closing weekend of the current play and a baby shower to get through and then can seriously start the packing!

Suitcases are out of the attic and in our RV so I can use it as a packing room. Grabbed all the clothes that I would like to take with us and now must spend a week putting half of them back :rotfl2: Kind of debating whether to just bite the bullet and pay for an extra suitcase now or worry about cramming full the one suitcase each. Everytime I walk through the house I think of something else we should take :scared1: We are also watching BA strike info wondering how it might affect us :confused3 The up side is that my husband helped with the FE gifties:yay:

What's another $50? Easier than worrying about weight and how to get things home.

Marianne, I agree with GYDELL especially since the charge is around $150 if your case is over weight. Good luck with the packing. DH still has one suitcase and my carry-on bag to get down from the attic! :yay: Sue

You're all making me nervous with your advanced packing! :confused3 I've only just begun to think about what we might pack.

Then I checked the weather in Helsinki and it's a lovely 22C (about 72F?), so either they're having a mini heatwave, or else it's going to be warmer than I thought and I can put some of those jumpers away and pack some shorts!

I have a quick off topic question for our British cruisers.

:happytv:

I stumbled on the British series Misfits on Saturday. I actually caught the first episode. I was wondering if any of you watched it and if it is worth getting hooked on. The first episode looked interesting. I googled it, and it sounded like it got some praise. Just wanted to get another opinion. Thanks!

Those who are flying with BA soon will be pleased to hear that our High Court have granted an injunction preventing the cabin crews from going on strike for the moment.

BBC News

British Airways has won a High Court injunction to stop the latest strikes by its cabin staff.

The decision was based on a technicality and whether Unite followed rules in contacting its members with strike result details.

The first of four five-day walkouts had been due to begin at midnight, but will not go ahead following Mr Justice McCombe's decision.

The union had previously said it would appeal if BA was successful in court.

Hi Debbie,

When you update the roster you can change us to GTY (was 6060). DCL opened up the cruise to military discounts and we were able to save a bunch, the only issue is we don't have an assigned cabin now. Our reservation now says "Run of the House" for cabin assignment.

Everyone else is celebrating their cabin assignments, we're going the other way. :confused3

Will be interesting as we're B2B so we're going from 6060 on the min-repo to who knows what on the Baltic.

Guess we'll just have to do some onboard booking(s) with what we saved on this one. :cool1:

Bob & Dale (& Gordy)

Well, hopefully you guys will get lucky. I did the same thing on the 6-5 cruise when they came out with the low cat. 12 prices and gave up my B2B, and then when they assigned me to my stateroom they put me in 6067 so I ended up B2B for both cruises, just a lot less money!

Money, you guys paid for these cruises:lmao::lmao:

That is what DVC points are for:thumbsup2
