Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

My FE gifts arrived today !! They look great! Can't wait for the cruise .. 79 days left!!!:banana:

Our FE came in the mail last week - SO CUTE! My Sister-in-law, Sue (Aunt Sue 1), and I are going to share the same FE since our rooms are side by side. Now watch since we planned it that way, one of us will get an upgrade and not be even close to each other! (I'll take it anyway - I'll live!)

Yesterday, I completely changed direction on our FE gifts. It became perfectly clear that I would never have the shop time necessary to the items that I had initially planned, so I changed to items that we could work on pretty much whenever we had a couple spare minutes at a time. I bought teh materials that we would need for the project and ordered a tool to make the job easier. When it arrives in a few days, we'll get to work.

Are these pictures for Berlin Private Vehicles with Premium Train Services excursion? It looks great. We are going on the Berlin Past and Present and I hope it will be comfortable too.

Yes. We are hiring the private vehicle for our family of three and these are the photos the DCL representative sent us after she took my credit card card for our non-refundable payment. (the private tour payment is covered by the DCL travel insurance though in the event we can not make the trip or the ship can not get into the port for some reason. )

Now I'm intrigued!

I'm so envious! Many ideas have run through my mind but none have acutally materialized :headache:

Wow! You really got me wondering:confused: Can't wait to see!:yay:

I found this posted on the July 6th thread:

Here are the locations where we will be docking for the following ports
of call:

Oslo, Norway: Akershus Kaia
Copenhagen, Denmark: Langelinie
Helsinki, Finland: Munkki Saari Quay, West Harbour
Stockholm, Sweden: Frihamnen

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you!

Have a Magical Day!

I'm a little dubious about any answer given by DCL at this point.

I recently asked for advice on getting off the ship in time to get to Ashford for the DLP train and received an email response that advised me that I should not plan to leave Barcelona until after 12:30 and that I should proceed out of the Baggage Hall to the designated motor coach area for my transportation to Orlando International Airport or to Walt Disney World Resort. (That must be some bus ride.)

Don't you just love it:lmao:

Have a great week all!

Just ordered our cruise shirts for the cruise! I'm going to try to add the ports to the back of the shirts mysefl @ our local embroidery place. I got my brother and sister-in-law (Disney Lover Linda) also shirts too!

Shhh don't tell them! Too Late!

Anyways, I don't know about everyone else but we are starting to get really excited!

Well DS and her DH finally got to book last night. Two of the tours that we have planned to go on together were booked.:sad2:
In Olso they had to settle for their 5th choice!
Hope all of our fellow cruisers are doing well. We have lots of rain going on in Virginia right now but the temperature is in the high 50's and not like the folks in the middle of the country dealing with snow! 74 days until we sail!:cheer2:

That is so strange. When I pull up the excursions in Oslo, I only see one that is sold out.

For most of the tours, I would suggest merely skipping them and take the HOHO bus, but the sold out one is Hadeland Glass Works, which is an hour outside of Oslo. For this tour, I would probably contact Denrus to see what they are offering. A private driver might also be a good solution.

Also worth it to check when you get onboard as I do believe they hold a few spaces back, as well as the possible cancelation

You might check with the excersion desk as soon as you get aboard the ship. In the past DCL held back a few slots for each tour. With internet booking, not sure if they still do that. Sometimes there are cancellations and you can pick up a previously sold out tour. It's worth to check.

Were they attempting to book two excursions in one day? We ran into this issue when we booked as well. We booked a morning excursion and then tried for an afternoon one as well...and it didn't come up as available when we tried to add it...come to find out, DCL has a 2hr window they require between excursions, so you can't book one that returns at noon, and try for one at 1:45 because there isn't the "2 hr" time slot between the two excursions. I wonder if this is what you were experiencing since another guest said they show only one excursion actually sold out. It may be worth looking into if you rearrange or re-prioritize you may find you can still get the ones they'd want.

Just got a call from DCL ... Due to tidal conditions, we will be leaving Stockholm at 1:00 pm, so the Best of Drottningholm excursion has been cancelled. Bummer ... My daughter loves the theatre, so we were both looking forward to this one! Has anyone else heard of any other cancellations?

MJ
