Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Linda - Are you really booking the $2,900 Dream shipyard tour? Anyone else booking this tour?

Yes....my justification is since I only paid $95 for the cruise using DVC points (have owned with DVC since 1994 so they are long paid for), that I can go on the Disney Dream tour.

We will see if enough people sign up so it actually happens. If not, I'll be joining the 9:00 Dream Excursion around the beverage station, deck 9 that Scott came up with.....

Does anyone have a list of all excursions times for all tours......do they make any that you can do on the same day? With timing it doesn't look like it.

I wish they showed on the main page what times were available for each excursion, but it is not until you pick the excursion that they show the times available for what you can pick. For the master ballet class in Russia, there were three different times in the afternoon on Friday, I think it was 1 pm, and then another then 4 p.m. Here's what I selected thus far in case it helps anyone:

Oslo - Viking Pirate Cruise; there were two times offered. I picked the 9:30 am, I think it gets back around 12:15 and then there was a second one at 12:30 pm. But I was thinking we would have free time in afternoon to shop where the afternoon one gets back just in time for the ship to leave. Wasn't sure what time the stores opened in the morning, and figured they would be open in the afternoon.

Copenhagen-Charming Copenhagen. I picked the 8:45 - 1 pm. Can't remember if there was an afternoon time.

Germany-we are going to the Disney Dream

St. Petersburg Russia-we are on a group tour with a private company off the ship for two days. However, I did tentatively book the ballet class for my daughter from 4-5 pm. May have to cancel based on our private tour.

Helsinki-booked Helsinki from Land and Sea. Time from 9:45 am - 2 pm

Stockholm-booked Royal Palace and Waterways from 8:45 am to 12 noon. I think there was an afternoon one also.

Palo's booked brunch on first sea day at 10:30 am.
Palo's dinner at 6 pm on sea day June 22

Have not booked any spa yet, but will probably do a massage with my daugther.

All the dinners and brunches looked available and they also had high tea times on the sea days.

Hope that helps!

We're flying into Heathrow, arriving around noon on June 9--and have reserved rooms on our own in one of the hotels Disney is using (Renaissance Chancery in London, fairly close to the British Museum--nice place, we stayed there on the Knights and Lights Adventures by Disney trip). Disney will take us to Dover and the ship, but we are on our own from the airport to the hotel since we didn't book the hotel through Disney (at a much higher rate). Any recommendations on the best way from the airport to the hotel? I don't want to run around in the tube with our bags and backpacks; there is a shuttlebus (Heathrow Express I believe) which is cheaper than a taxi--but not sure how far from the hotel we get dropped. Ideas/suggestions sought--thanks!

Can I say the Tube: Piccadilly Line, is actually quite easy, you can get it nearly all the way. It serves Heathrow, any terminal, and goes to Holborn, which is the stop for The British Museum. Heathrow express will be further away, I understand your hotel is 20 meters from the tube station.

Now yes at Holborn you are in a deep tube, so its two sets of escalators up, with luggage, thats the only difficult bit!! Get everyone to hold a bit.

We stayed at the Chancery for our ABD tour. The Holborn station is close - but like Andrew said - I really wouldn't want to take luggage up and down the escalators. We used a taxi for Heathrow.

£6 max per person, against £100+ taxi fare ( may need two) might make you feel its worth it.

One tube all the way, that escalator bit is difficult but possible,

Even if you do it in a relay!!!

We are also all paid for. We also received our UPS delivery of a few brochures. Pretty weak really. They should have sent shore excursion info.

We are still looking for people to share port excursion in StP. Ideally we would like to do part with our kids and part without! Our kids are 5 & 7.

Congrats to everyone else going, and thanks for the excursion times DisneySpirit.

Hi Linda,

If you do the Disney Dream excursion, then the next Sea Day you have to set aside time to regal the rest of us with what we missed! PLEASE :worship: :worship:

Also, looks like we'll see you at Brunch first sea day.

What happened to the side car adventure??? :rotfl2:

Bob & Dale (& Gordy, who wanted to stow away on the sidecar but can't find his goggles)

Andrew, really like the countdown timers, also thanks for teh tube info, we will be using it exclusively whilst in London.

I am trying to get into the Changing of the Keys at the Tower, I may have the ability to get in via my profession.

Bob, I may have a set of goggles for Gordy.

There is still room on my Disney Dream Tour..... LOL looking for a guest speaker.... LOL

Wow it's been a long time since I've posted on this forum and have a lot of catching up to do!

We are FINALLY all paid up and The Sonnenberg Titusville Disney Troupe is going! I see some names I recognize from our Disney Med Cruise. ie: WVMD and Seaulater. Hey there Virgil!

If anyone remembers we're the family that due to flight delays in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia we missed the ship in Barcelona and had to pick it up in Palermo.

This time we ARE flying into London the day before. We hope to be on the ship for whole 12 days! I have a lot of catching up to do with fun things I hope is planned for this cruise. I saw a note on page 1 of where to post our names and room numbers. Did I see something about lanyards and a hidden Mickey event?

We have been anxiously thinking about excursions! :cool1:

We opted for the London Pass with Travel, as we will have three full days in London. Seemed like our best deal, pre-ordered and saved 10%, cost just a pinch more than taxi fare one way. :thumbsup2
