Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Tremendous! We're happy with our Cat. 3 as there are only 3 of us this cruise. We had a Cat. 2 last cruise and loved it. We have the Walt for the wedding cruise in July.

This will be our first time in the Cat. 1. We were in a Cat. 2 for this cruise and that's what we had on the last one as well and it definitely worked out well for us.

Congratulation on the cat 1- I was able to secure a cat 3 about a week ago. I am so excited because I have never stayed in one of the suites. :hippie:

You'll love the Cat. 3 and you'll be spoiled by the service. Which Cat. 3 did you get?

Just got totally awesome news...

We're in the Roy Suite!!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

TA called dad and said it was available and it wasn't too much more to upgrade from the Cat. 2 to the 1, so Roy Suite here we come!!!!

Congratulations on the upgrade. With all the talk of suites I called DVC to be put on the waitlist for a Cat 3 just in case and was able to upgrade from a Cat 5 back to Cat 4. :cool1:

Guess I won't be getting that free upgrade to the Walt or Roy suite this cruise then.....:rotfl:

well, over 24 hours after i sent a message into my du travel agent (was more than just the suite request) and no response. does anyone else have this type of inconsistent service with them? i normally just manage my own bookings but they hooked me with the $600 OBC. i would expect some sort of response after 24 hours, even just a:

Thanks for your e-mail. I'm looking into your requests and I will confirm with you that I placed them by Monday.

Have a great weekend!
xx

Good Evening Cruisers!

Emily - congrats on your upgrade!

I have been busy working, still hard to find time to get on these boards, and I miss them, but every evening, I have been finding time to hit at least one thread!

Have a great evening all!

I didn't think DVC was doing cat.3 or cat 4.

I think this thread will PICK UP when we get to the excursions next month, and then in the month of MAY it will really POP!!!!!

me again....I counted 47 staterooms of Northern Sights and Mickey's Magical Delights cruisers listed on the membership thread......is that about right?

I am doing 1 FE gift for each stateroom, so that's how I am keeping track.

Looks like I will have one whole suitcase just for FE gifts, but that's ok, because I can put my souvenirs inthat one. Real Russian Vodka! Gummy worms from Sweden,

Chasing gummy worms from Sweden with vodka from Russia. Now that sounds like a plan.

Laura and I were wondering if as a group we wanted to do a room tour.
We did one on the 2008 eastbound PC and it was fun.

If a group would like to do a room tour, Laura and I will volunteer to coordinate one to be held on the first at sea day.

We will volunteer our Cat. 4 as one of the rooms on the tour. It would be nice to have a representation from each room category as well as any of the non-typical rooms. Does anyone have a secret porthole room, partially obstructed veranda room or other special type room (side ways layout, wheelchair, etc.) that they would be willing to open for the tour?

Last time we gathered in one of the public areas and traveled as a group through the ship. When we got to the room we where to tour, the owner of the room would open their room and allow everyone to make a quick walk through to see the layout of the room and any special touches or organizing ideas like shoe bags over the bathroom door, magnetic hooks on the back of the cabin door, etc. After everyone had a chance to walk through that room the group would move on to the next room scheduled to be toured.

Let me know what y'all think.

Bill

Thanks Connie for counting staterooms! My gifts will be one per stateroom also, since we are hauling them across the world!

Are you totally recovered and back to work?

I didn't think DVC was doing cat.3 or cat 4.

When I called DVC they were able to get the cat 4 and they seemed to indicate that if the cat 3 became available we would be able to use pts and cash for the cat 3 upgrade. I really would be nice to have the bigger stateroom for the longer cruise.

Last time I asked they were still working on them. I think they were supposed to let me know when they had the information.

I know the Peterhof and Pushkin tour is only available on the second day and all of the Hermitage tours are only available the second day as well.

Thanks Connie for counting staterooms! My gifts will be one per stateroom also, since we are hauling them across the world!

Are you totally recovered and back to work?

We might have a few more staterooms before the actual cruise date.
:yay:
I feel pretty good, still limping a bit and am trying to stretch out the right hamstring, but it's still prettty tight. But I have been working although I haven't been scheduled a lot. Connie

That's true about a nicer room for your family of 4. It's just going to be Chuck and I, we'll be fine in a Navigator's.

Thank you so much for counting. I tried to count and got a really high number so I was a bit concerned.
