Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Question for you Concierge cruisers. When can you start booking excursions? Thanks.

So you're going to post all the times for us lowly Silver cruisers! :rotfl2:

Well I know the London Eye tour and the Tower of London tour both start at 8 am, which is no help to us since we'll be probably be getting in either right before they start or right after.

Oh well, I found one of those hop on/hop off tours that will do just fine.

We are putting together our pre-days in London, and my DW got tickets to Love Never Dies (she's a big Phantom fan--and we're taking out DD9 and DS16; the web site didn't have any warnings about content, so...!). Still waiting for shore excursion times--it will be nice to get all of the pieces of this trip together!

WeLoveABD,

We sent you a pm about an excursion on the Baltic cruise:yay:.

I changed my avatar! Connie is Minnie, Chuck is Mickey and Patrick is Donald!

The company is called Simply Airports. We used them 3 years ago for transfers and were very happy with them. I just wanted to see if these prices were fair.

Many thanks for contacting us again. I presume you need a minivan for the transfers.

1. From Heathrow to SE16 will cost you £57, and £60 if the flight is from T5
2. From the hotel to Dover will cost £120.

3. From Dover to the hotel will also be £120.

4. Return to Heathrow will cost £51 or £54 to T5.

I also posted this on the Baltic thread.

Which shore excursion times are you waiting for? Is it the ones in London?

We are waiting for the times of the port excursions (St. P especially, with multiple excursions possible). We are now looking at private tours--especially Berlin and St. P. This cruise gets us into great port cities--too bad the time in port is so limited! (As it would have to be, of course, for cruises--but many have two full days in St. P and an overnight in Copenhagen). I love the Magic--this will be our 5th trip on that ship, so we can't yet book 75 days out like most on this disboard (it seems!)--so we nervously await our time up 90 days out and hope there are excursion slots open. (This is way I'd jump at an Adventures By Disney option--like with the Med cruise--to eliminate the hassle of booking, etc--but the DCL reps I've talked to all suggest that is something for later years should DCL go back to the Baltic).

Can I ask a favour please, could someone post the times of shore trips on the main BALTIC PLANNING thread, when you access the system next week.

PS, good luck, and sorry for hijacking your thread!!!

We booked DCL transfers at $85 USD, to LHR, so this service is about $5 less.

Good Evening Cruisers!

We have been planning our pre cruise stay in London, Normandy and Barcelona. I guess we will get to the cruise ports again - we did check out the hop on hop off buses at the various ports last weekend.

Lisa - sorry you have had to cancel the cruise.

Have a good week all!

I was looking at hotels and B&B's in Canterbury for our 2 night pre cruise stay. We haven't been there and it's only 16miles from Dover. We also talked about staying near the train station in Dover and taking the train into Canterbury instead. Not sure which way to go.

We'd better get something booked I think! or we'll be camping out. :hippie:

We are staying in Canterbury for 2 days prior.. we are on the 24th sailing.. From what I read, Canterbury is a much more enjoyable town to absorb the atmosphere and wander around. Dover doesn't really have that. We are going to take the train into Dover to explore, but stay in Canterbury.
