Northern Dis Meet?? Anyone??

As I've just stumbled across the Tony Roma's thread (just being nosey! ) I noticed a lot of people would like to arrange a meet a little higher up the country.

Thought I'd post a thread to see if there's anyone interested. Maybe we could get together on here and see if we could work out a place for a meet and dates etc.

Pop a post on if you'd be interested and lets see what we could possibly sort!

Like I say, we'll have to sort a location once we get a general idea were about's most people are etc, but I'm sure we'd have fun wherever we ended up!

I take it most could get to: Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Southport?? If there's any other suggestions then please post

I am meeting up with Kenny at this weekends meet, its something we have discussed about arranging for later this year as we are both from higher up the country but its down to time, Kenny works away quite a bit, I am away all August and would find it difficult in December with work so its down to Sept, Oct or Nov for me.
If anyone wants to try arrange one by all means go for it but thought I would just mention we were going to try arrange something.
Sorry it won't be Scotland this year if anyone wants to arrange something up there.

Count me in! I'm based in Lytham, but would certainly be prepared to do a couple of hours driving. We aren't as lucky as the jammy southeners, who have a Tony Romas & Outback etc, but maybe someone here knows of an American-type place like that up here to meet at?

Ooooohhh I am definitely interested. How about Manchester / Chester / Cheshire Oaks or anywhere really. What about the Hard Rock in Manchester, or somewhere like Nandos.

Didn’t mean to cause any problems Wayne, had no idea you were thinking of a meet up at those times. Just thought I’d gauge interest really.

We could always arrange the meet up for September/October, then it gives people plenty notice if they need to sort out sitters for children, accommodation etc.

I’d never actually thought that Manchester would be ideal for the transport situation either. They’ve got plenty places to eat there, even in the Printworks alone.

Keep the suggestions coming though guys, all are welcome!

No problems at all Rachel, great to see the interest being shown and opinions on location. Just hope we can sort something between us to involve as many as possible.

I would really only be up for it if it is Manchester. I admit selfish reasons really, I don't drive, I know the place, it is easy for me to get to and it only costs me about £5 on the train. I am away 6th -10th and 20th -25th in September though.
