North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Hi! And thanks!

We're from Southern California. We have annual passes at Disneyland and go pretty frequently. I've lived here all my life so I think I've been there at least 1000 times, lol. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise, our 8th total I believe but our first time in Alaska. :)

I am into scrapbooking and I noticed someone was talking about scrapbooking on board, if you could direct me to where that was discussed I'd love to see it! Thanks!!!
Hi Diane!

Seaulater is the Scrapbooking Queen! I know she is putting together a scrapbooking session for the REPO cruise which will include REPO + ALASKA, but I'm not sure about this cruise. I'll have to wait for her to jump in on that with any details :woohoo:

Has anyone completed their online check-in yet? I'm arriving same day and keep getting an error. I've even called DCL IT and I am waiting for someone to call me back.

Anyone else have this issue?

I had that problem too, I had to phone DCL and they keyed in the information for me. It must be a glich in their system but that was weeks ago and you would think they would have fixed it by now. :confused3

DCL was able to help you? They couldn't do anything for me. Maybe the third time will be the charm?

Yes, the CM first asked if all my other information was entered and correct, then he took the information and keyed it in, then he told me to not make any other changes in the form, or it wouldn't stay and I would have to call again. After all that was done we changed our plans anyways so I had to go in and change the arrival and it worked ok for the new information.

I'm pretty sure she posted on each thread that she's doing it on both cruises. :thumbsup2

We're packing long pants and short sleeve shirts with a jacket to wear over, raincoat, and that's it. :thumbsup2

Yep, I always pack at least one pair of long pants as well as one warm shirt/jacket, on top of my normal Caribbean gear. Mainly, those also happen to me my traveling clothes as planes/airports can be rather chilly.
:upsidedow

all this talk about the temps....when I was in Skagway in JUNE 2004...I was fine at sea level...once up on the tundra - I froze...I was SO glad I had listened to the ship advisor and worn long pants. I was a little overwarm while at sea level, but that particular port has all the temp zones represented. Be sure to pack a light jacket - the winds can be chilly!

Thanks! I will give them a call again.

Got my repo cruise docs yesterday, so perhaps in a week or so, we'll start getting docs for this cruise. Makes it seem more real somehow!

No docs here yet!

We are taking warmer clothes, at one point, we will be tramping on a glacier!

I have the long johns all ready to go! ;) I even purchased a light pair of rain pants for each of us just in case there is a downpour as all of our AK excursions are out in the elements at some point. :umbrella:

The packing is the hard part of the adventure. I'm looking forward to the FUN part! :cheer2:

Still looking for docs here in NJ! :sail:

That's pretty much my plan too, but I've got my waterproof boots as well. I learned in Costa Rica that in the elements sneakers just won't cut it.

No docs for this cruise yet. Got the repo on Wednesday! DH and I are still deciding on FE gifts. Told him we better get out act together!! :rotfl2:
Puppy update.... Francine the 5 month old and Selah the 3.5 year old actually played together for about 5 minutes this morning! We are making progress. Happy Friday fellow cruisers. Sue

We both got rainpants the other day, I have a pair of trail running shoes that are water resistant, but I will bring an extra pair also to have a spare if one pair gets wet!

We got our docs for the Repo cruise yesterday!
