North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Will this get reposted closer to the date of the cruise? With stateroom #'s? Or is it posted somewhere that is easily accessible (and updated regularly)? This is awful but the month of March is literally the craziest time of year for me at work....and right now is the craziest time of year for me with my cheerleaders (we just got back from Baltimore----National Champions, thank you very much! :cheer2::cheer2:)....and so I am not going to be even THINKING about putting together fish extender presents until April just a few weeks before the cruise! LOL

Congrats to your cheerleaders!

Elaine, I ordered my Red Green Suspenders just a moment ago.

New design logo...

I created this one from the cruise document package we got for a cruise.

Right now it is setup for those on the back to back. If you would like it personalized please send me a PM with the names you want on it.

Those of you not doing the B2B - please be patient. I will offer up a version for each leg of the B2B separately later.

Ok. I know someone that is dedicated and lives and breathes FE's will probably flame me.. lol.. but anyways.. he it goes..

I've searched and seen the FE.. The wife always asks "what are these for, except looking cool".. my reply is.. "hmmmmm.. I might have to ask one day"..

So I am asking.. and yes. I've searched the threads.. what is the short answer to "what is an FE.. why have one.. and it's just the wife and I (and a baby on board.. aka in the oven.. heh).. is it for putting little notes on, like a valentine? :) etc

Thanks ahead of time :)

I am starting to nail this down.
As it stands now we have a flight booked out of Bos to Sea.
4/30.
that is it.

I would like to fly from SEA to YVR...?

anyone else coming into SEA on around this date?

I am now finding out that the airport is 1 hour from port in YVR?

suggestions?

Hotels and so on.

:confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3
Why am i having such a hard time with this. LOL :wizard:

Peter

lol. what the wife and I ended up doing was flying into SEA on May 1.. spend the night. was a LOT cheaper to Amtrak it into Vancouver May 2.. spend the night and walk to the port.. the Amtrak station is about 1/3 miles from the hotel we're staying at .. so it's all nice and close..

Can PM me if you want some more information. or ask here and I'll try to make the responses fun pirate:

How are folks getting home?

Specifically, are you going to Seattle to catch a plane?
If so, how are you getting to Seattle. Bus? Taxi?

We have found that air is a lot cheaper out of Seattle.

Help?

Wife and I are flying into Seattle.. was cheaper to take Amtrak round trip than to fly back and forth... 3.5-4.0 hours.. think it was 175 round trip for two adults in first class.. think 140-150 in coach class..

Got you added....thanks for joining in. We'll have fun!!!

Sounds like a blast.. first I've heard of it.. I'll see if I can get the wife to go (won;t drink as we have a bun in the oven. lol)..

On a side note, there a guys "beer" or any other type of guy group? Or we need to get one started? pirate:

As I understand it, a ships "Maiden Voyage" is it's first sailing with regular paying customers. While an "Inaugural Voyage" would be that ships first sailing on a route or into a port. For example, the Dream just had it's Maiden Voyage, but DCL will call the first year the "Inaugural Season". So, I think that in this case, calling it the Inaugural West Coast Repo and Alaska cruise is probably correct.

Absolutely this will get posted again and again until 2 weeks before the cruise. I think we decided that was the cutoff date since so many people are doing the Repo Cruise before this one.

I'm not exactly sure where to post this other than in the thread. I was waiting until closer to the cruise date to post cabin numbers but I can post them now if everyone wants.

A FE is a fish extender which is a mailbox entender so you can participate in a gift exchange with fellow DISers. It's all about fun. Pure & simple.

Kinda thought that was what the Wii and Kinect times were for... I had the Kinect on the Dream one day all to myself for about 5 hours.. My wife just sat by and vege'd, read and did some quilting while watching me make a fool out of myself. :)

Never get to play Kinect on a 103" LCD at home.. (not to mention not having either a Kinect or anything larger than a 32" CRT at home).

I concur with Ken. The Maiden Voyage is the 1st cruise on a ship with paying guests. Inaugural is the first anything (TA, PA, Alasksa, REPO, etc) after that.

PS, the Maiden Voyage on the Dream was fun and now waiting on the Fantasy MV...

Never really knew either until a week ago when I searched as well. Now I know FE = Fish Extender but on the Dream there are now SHEs (Sea Horse Extenders) since the Starboard side uses Sea Horses and Fish on Port side. I like that as now one can always say which side one is one..

My Wife and I always saw the FEs and wondered about them, kinda joked that if for nothing else it denotes which door is yours. Useful, when weaving back to your room from a Martini, Tequila, Wine, tasting (not all three at once tho - I wouldn't be weaving then but crawling... :rotfl: )

Sign me up as a Sipper. It sounds like great fun, I can hardly wait.

Eileen

So happy you're going to join us Eileen. Do you have a stateroom number assigned yet? I will need to notify you of any last minute changes. Thanks.
