Hi everyone! I am looking for a Medium womens black North Face fleece jacket-- for cheap. Like... $20 cheap. HAHA. I know it can be done! It CAN I tell you-- I just don't know how. Has anyone seen any good deals lately? I was thinking of looking on ebay... has anyone ordered one of these jackets from ebay before? I think they're so cute, but I can't get myself to pay $80 or more for one!!! Any advice or other online retailers would be GREAT!! :goodvibes

Don't do ebay, I did ebay and it's a fake and the person's history was great, even has tags making it look real, but the quality of the fleece is no where near the quality of a REAL North Face Denali. I just ordered off www.sportsbasement.com and paid $125. Also check REI outlet, I ordered my little girls jackets there for around $40, sometimes you can get off colors, but if you are looking for black the deals are little to be found in my opinion.

How do the sizes generally run? Are they pretty normal or do I have to worry about freakishly short sleeves or anything?

There are North Face Outlets as well. We have one here at our Prime Outlets in Wisconsin. Don't know if they ship, but you might want to look into it.

I'm looking online and it looks like the XL girls and M women's sizing is very simlar. Can anyone justify this?

I agree don't do ebay.
I say spend the money, it is worth it and it will last a long while for you :)

I sold my Dad's never worn genuine North Face on eBay a few years back.

Just like anything dealing with human beings you have to be careful. If you do use eBay, use PayPal and make sure they have a return policy.

I agree with PP. DO NOT buy one off EBay. Many are counterfeit even sellers with good ratings. I ended up with one last year and immediately knew as soon as I opened the box. It was very flimsy material and the logo was glued on---very sloppily. It did have "realistic" looking tags, and I'm sure some people think they are getting an authentic product. I was able to get my money returned after going through Paypal.

It is worth it to pay the extra money to get the good quality product that they make.

The least expensive women's medium has been from sportsbasement.com at $125 plus $6 shipping. Has anyone seen any that are less than that? (thank you PP for the link!!)

I ordered one from Ebay last year for my niece. I had a rough time trying to determine size as it was a gift. I think I paid around $55. When it arrived I was very satisfied with the quality. Compared it to my DD's and it was exact. However, the size even though sold as large, came as a petite large. I had no problems returning. I ended up at Macy's with a coupon. My advice to you would be to go to an actual store and try it on before ordering.

AND an update to the sportsbasement.com- GONAVY gets you a discount of free shipping!

I have a youth medium. The sleeves are a bit short on me and my arms are already shorter than most people. I'm 5'1 and about 120ish.

I can believe that they are similar in size. I wear a women's small and tried on a youth large. IMHO, I think the youth sizes are a much more "boxy" fit. I like the cut of the women's jacket much better.

If you are not dead set on the Denali, I got a black Windwall (which I really like!) at Sports Basement for around $55 about a week ago. They have some good deals if you don't mind something other than the Denali.

Another idea is Dick's Sporting Goods. They usually have the coats at the "list" price but there are coupons all over the place (Entertainment Book and I have a bunch of others) for $15 off a $75 purchase. This could help bring the price down.

Best wishes! There are deals to be had but it just might mean some compromising!

My dd has a kids XL. She's 5'5" and about 110 and it fits her fine. I have a kids XL also-I'm also 5'5" and NOT 110 lbs:rotfl::rotfl: and it is a bit tight on me. The kids sizes are much cheaper-I have gotten my 2 dd's a few for around $60-70. I've purchased from Sportsbasement a few times. You can call them and see what they have in stock-might be different than what is showing online. God luck

the girls XL fits very close to the women's M. I have the Women's M and DD20 has the girls XL; the only difference that I noticed was the sleeves on the girls were slightly shorter than the women's. I have freakishly long arms, so I opted for the womens style lol. ALso, the fit is a little more boxy on the girls were the womens is a little more fitted, but it's not a huge difference. I was able to get kids Denalis this year from www.sportsunlimited.com for $45 each back in September. Thats the lowest I have ever seen them.

OK I bought one! I'm so excited! It was $112.25 for a Black women's Medium! YAY sportsbasement.com!!

I bought my DD one at our Gander Mountain outlet in the summer. It was still $29 on sale.
