Anyone know the best place (cheapest!) place to buy North Face women's coats. My daughter would like one for Christmas, and I don't want to spend a fortune. Or if anyone has any discount codes to purchase one, thanks!

I don't know where you're from, but we have a NorthFace outlet up here in New York. You can get some pretty good deals there, and if you have AAA, there are often additional discounts when you shop.

www.rei.com

In the very bottom right corner:

Moosejaw.com has good sales and a great selection of North Face items.

Good luck!

How old is your daughter? You can buy her a Youth size (S, M, L) for half the cost of the adult sizes. My daughter is 10 and I think hers is a Youth M. I know some older teens that wear the Youth L.

I don't know if you have a Bloomingdale's by you, but the end of this month they are having a HUGE sale and I am sure coats will be included. Maybe 20-30% off.

I'm a size 6/8 25 year old female and I have a black North Face fleece jacket that's an XL boys! It fits perfect and was about half the price of a women's M.

That's what I was talking about. I think those are in the $75 range!

BackCountry (www.backcountry.com) is pretty good too for North Face Jackets. They even have XL in youth sizes which is equal to an adult small at least.....really makes a difference with the prices. I googled discount codes at Backcountry and found a free shipping code last year when I purchased mine.

My son has black but my daughter liked a color that was being dropped by BackCountry so I got hers at a great price. They can be expensive but they are very good, quality jackets, much like LL Bean and Lands End items.

I wear a woman's medium/large in shirts (big chest, smaller waist). My northface is a Youth XL (in light blue)

I've had it for a few years now and they wash well!

No they won't be. I'm a kids merch coordinator for Macy's, as a company Federated doesn't put North Faces on sale to the end of the season. They don't need to go on sale--I've sold out the patagonia fleeces 3 times this season so far--and I'm in a store where most of our shoppers want nothing but clearance.

IMHO, a NorthFace is more than worth the money. The quality is beyond superb Plus they'er super warm, my light weight fleece is actually warmer than my wool coat! If you can swing it, buy it she'll get multiple winters out of it.

I thought I'd be smart and get the kid's coat for DD. I compared the 2 both trying them on and laying them down on the floor. My DD would NOT want the kid's coat instead of the XS adult, I'm prettty certain. The kids is cut much wider in the body. The ladies is slimmer fitting, cut for curves. The kids is more bubble shapped, if that makes sense. I was pretty disappointed.

Depends on how old your DD is. My middle schooler and elementary schooler (grade 5 & 7) and all of their friends have the youth sizes. The complaints I heard about the womens is that they fit too fitted (I agree, I also wear their Youth jackets). If they wear anything bulky under them the adult ones are too tight unless you are made like a lollypop!

Both of my kids have the Denali style jacket, which is the most popular around here, and I thought the youth girls and youth boys styles were cut a little differently. My daughters definitely seems to have a more narrow cut to it.

On Backcountry they offer the youth sizes in both boys and girls so even the same color like Black may be cut a little differently.

Green Tea, check out Backcountry to see if they offer what you are looking for.

I just ordered this jacket for my daughter yesterday...The North Face Denali Thermal Jacket - Girls' Sparrow Pink, XL from BackCountry. I didn't have a code, but the jacket was $98.95. Even without a code, there was no tax and free shipping on all orders over $50.

My DD is 13 and normally wears a junior med. in a shirt. This is her second North Face and her first is the same size. That one fits her perfectly.

I am 5'. I tried on the Northface Denali in the girls, boys, and ladies departments of Macy's a few weeks ago. The ladies XS was considerably larger across the body and shoulders than the girls L, but it was a bit shorter. The girls XL was too big. The boys jacket was cut way too big for me in the body in the large and medium, and the small was too small.

The girls large was the best fit for me. I bought one online because it was cheaper. Although I would have preferred the shorter length of the ladies XS, it was just too big.

Thanks for this description. It describes DD pretty well, so I think I might go with the girls L.

Check Nordstrom.com, I lucked up a couple of years ago and they had the Denali at a discount (not a whole lot but everything helps) and they have flat $5 shipping and free returns/exchanges. They also have extremely good customer service, a plus in my book.
