North Carolina DVC Members Gathering

Okay, I think I'll go with Green Valley Grill. It's next to the O'Henry Hotel so it should be easy to Mapquest and it's centrally located in the city. They open at 11:15, so I'll make the reservation for 11:45am on Saturday, November 15. We can meet in the bar between 11:15 and 11:30. That way we can get acquainted before we sit down to eat.

Green Valley Grill is actually part of the O'Henry Hotel. When you're facing the hotel entrance, it's on the right side of the building. Park in the right-side parking lot. The restaurant has its own separate entrance apart from the hotel's.

Can we plan the next meet closer to the coast? We don't have nearly as many restaurant choices . . . but we do have sand and ocean!

I wish we could go..but we live in Hendersonville. How far away is that from Greensboro? anyone know.

My mother-in-law used to live in Hendersonville and it would take me about 3 hours to get out there from the Greensboro area. It's a straight shot out 40.

It's a very easy drive since it is all interstate.

This time it's just lunch for the grown-ups. A laid-back gathering. Everyone will order and pay on his own.

Imagine that. Disneyites getting together without kids.

The only thing I need is a head count. PM me with your first name and the number of DVC adult members attending. I will make a reservation next week. So far, we have a count of four. If we have at least ten, I say we get together. If we have less than that, we'll postpone it and try again in the spring.

For those who want to stay longer in Greensboro, we have great shopping and a movie theater close to where we're eating.

Due to the temporary gas shortage, the only driving out of the city here is when I'm driving to WDW.

I can see where the state of the economy and the gas shortage may make this gathering impossible in November for many of you. If we don't have enough people making the trip, we'll try again at a later date. Right now, we have only four, so unless that changes, we'll cancel.

Well, count me out. DH works on Saturdays, I have 4 kids and haven't had a sitter in a while. Too bad since I could actually walk to the Green Valley Grill if I needed to.
