Hi guys

We sent our contract with deposit to DFTW 2 weeks ago now (from the UK), i called them on Friday and they said they have still not received it but will let us know when they do........
4 more days on and i still havent heard anything. I know mail is slow but it should definitely have got there by now. Do they normally take this long to get back to you, do i presume it is sat on somebody's desk waiting to be processed?? Just wondered what other people's experience of this is?

I would call them again but i have a suspicion they think i am a looney calling up every other day!! :rotfl:

Thank you x

Has your checked cleared and/or did you send your letter with any confirmation? because indeed it takes forever and a day past what they tell you! And I know you are not the only person asking them the same question every day! :rotfl:

I sent my card details but as yet nothing has been withdrawn.

I keep emailing and calling but all i get is "my assistant will call you once we have received it", i figured they would atleast say we have it in our hands but we will contact again when we have checked it through, to not even get that is a little frustrating!

Im not sure how long to leave it before i suggest posting it again.....perhaps i need to have some patience!?! I am quickly turning into a bridezilla!! :)

x

No unfortunately i didnt, i have never had a problem in the past so didnt think it needed it, i will think on next time though!! I think i might just send it again x

We are currently planning our wedding from the UK and I've found that they are great at replying to faxes. I send it at a time i know someone will be in the office and usually get a confirmation email to say its been received a few hours later. I know this doesnt help now but if you could get access to a fax machine it could be an option in the future?! Goodluck :)

as a future UK DFTW bride this is good to know - thanks

DFTW finally emailed me a couple of days ago saying they had received our contract and taken a deposit - still no deposit gone! I have quickly learnt to have TONS of patience in dealing with them, it will all be fine in the end :thumbsup2 x

This is what we did. I arranged a time to send the fax and my coordinators assistant was at the fax machine waiting for it.

Deposit came out of my account yesterday, sooo excited i cant wait to be assigned our planner :woohoo:

Just an extra note for any UK brides currently planning their wedding: i used my Barclays visa DEBIT card to pay our deposit (although it says on the forms credit card only) this went through fine which was a big relief as i dont have a credit card and thought it was a lot of hassle to either apply for one or arrange a bank transfer :) I guess our debit cards are different x
