Normally I enjoy the VMK Quests but...........

Today I found the new quests a venture in frustration. They seemed easy enough until you reached the task about playing pirates. I certainly would not have any trouble getting the scores needed, I just couldn't find open games. The games were full most every time I tried. By the time I got into a game, I ended up disconnecting because I had waited so long.

I ended up only getting the snowflake pin and gave up on the last pin available. I don't even know if you needed to play pirates on that one. I did manage the blue rocket couch which I didn't have before so at least that is something.

Did anyone else have problems trying to play a pirates game?

no problems playing pirates the last quest is the only one I finally completed for myself and my DS.


My problem with the other two quests were I could not play HM because each time in the second round I would be booted back to the lobby never finishing a game.

And with the JC all the animals were going off at the same time so never enough to get the needed scores which I usually can make easily most days.



I am not really bothered that I did not get the first pin or the rocket sofa but would have liked one sofa to give to DS. Hopefully I can trade for it later.

I was having the same problem. All of the animals would pop up at once and then my camera was so slow I couldn't take a pic.

Yeah. It's a bit dumb of them to require that all three quest require the same games. Yesterday it was Fireworks. Today it was Pirates.

At least with Fireworks, There's always a game running and many more people can play at once. But with pirates and HM, there's only so many games that can run at once. The really should have had one quest require Fireworks instead of Pirates. That would have dropped the load off somewhat.

In regards to JC's problem, I started having some problems later tonight with it running very slow. I just logged out and cleaned out my temp files. Then I had a much better time with the game.

I have with time learnedto work around those freeze issues when I have them in any of the games. I just adjust my play for the conditions. The animals start poping up just shot pictures like crazy you will hit some.

yup .. what everyone said .. coupled with all the disconnects and down time, missed getting a pink slipper chair yesterday.

Anyone know if the pins will someday "do" something?

I went into my friends trade room and there was this guy sitting in the corner looking for rockets. I told him I had a magenta and a light blue one. He said are they buyable, i told him that the blue one was in the the Questmnia thing and the magenta was park quest. He offered me gold ears, invisibitlity magic and fireworks magic all for the blue rocket. I told him i could not accept it but he just kept on hitting the accept button, so i finally accepted.

I disagree about fireworks though....personally don't know why but I can play pirates at anytime although lately if I play with more than me and another player I even have issues.

I do not think they (VMK)should require any games be played...too many bugs with the games...it seems most everyone has certain issues with different games.

Some have issues with pirates, others with JC and fireworks and some can not play any of the games at all.

I got all the way to #22 on the Character counts quest and caught 23 ghosts then next time I tried and everytime there after I was bumped back to the lobby.

Maybe another option like an either or either play the game or do 5 other things if you can not play the game....Something until all these issues are resolved. I quess though it is a moot point since quest month is over and done with.

Yesterday I was thinking how great it is for VMK to include these games, to give motavation to learn them... not just play them. 25,000 in JC... you got to under stand the game to get that......

Funny never had issues with JC or HM before the Quests now it seems I can not play either of them....if they take away my pirates I WILL be devasted!!!!

cteddiesgirl, thanks for the offer, but let me give you something in return.

I guess part of the problem was that my girls were trying to play and their characters were only on level 1. That was the game that was full all the time. Then we would see people starting a game by themselves with no other players and again the games were full. Ugh. Just so frustrating. We were only able to get the blue rocket couch because we jumped on early before we had to leave for the day. By the time we got back home, there were so many players and the pirates level one games were full. Oh well. I am glad they are over.
