Nor'easter... whats happening in your neighborhood...

Somerset County, NJ - yep, I woke up to snow! :)

We have about 5/6 inches and still snowing; DH still asleep; both DD are downstairs watching TV and I'm in my scraproom trying to do some scrapbooking-Life is good :thumbsup2

I'm sure that the township won't be plowing our street for hours after it stops snowing so it should be a great fun day for the kids & dog playing in the snow while DH shovels and I'll be watching it all from my scraproom windows :rotfl:

Everyone stay warm and safe!

The snow is already scary-deep here and it's till falling plus now we are having wind gusts. The plows have hit our street at least twice since this storm started yesterday and you can't even tell. My DH thinks we have at least 15", I agree to the "at least" part but think the snowfall so far is probably 20" or more. The bad thing is that this isn't light, fluffy snow like our last storm, it's HEAVY and wet. A few transformers in the neighborhood even blew up last night, big flash of blue-green light and a loud THUMP (guess some folks around here don't have power :( ), plus evergreen trees and bushes are weighted down by all that heavy snow. Our neighbor across the street lost some huge branches off a big pine tree and those branches are lying in the street, our neighbor right next to us has a line of cedar-type tree/bushes that are bent in two and will probably die because of snow damage.

agnes!

I think I have about 20 inches and it's still coming down.

It is a very heavy snow. I just hope we don't lose power. All my bushes are leaning too but they did that during the last storm. One of them is my big holly bush that I wanted pulled out this spring. I keep hoping that the one of these snows will just break it so that my husband *has* to take care of it. I suppose I could help it along.

At this time last week, we were enjoying being in DisneyWorld..what a difference a week makes. It started snowing here (outside Atlantic City) at about 7:00 and has been pretty steady. I have three kids who live a little north of Baltimore, Maryland, and they're getting hammered. I think our "hammering" is still to come. I HATE SNOW!!! I NEED BEACH!!!

Oh, Tag Fairy.....yooooooooo-hoooooooo . Something about that last sentence just SCREAMS Tag Fairy to me...in a nice way (of course) :teeth: .

agnes!

I called my husband and said "southern snow princess reporting in":rotfl:

I'm at around 21-22 inches and right now its snowing and blowing HARD. I went out and cleaned off the walkway to my front door because I tried to open the door and it started coming in:sad2:

I managed to make it to the side of the house lifing one leg at a time to clear a circle around my heating unit. I was worried it being covered down would break it or something. I even started on my drive but damn that stuff is heavy. Three shovel fulls to find the driveway.:headache:

MORE snow coming on Tuesday/Wednesday! I'm really trying to get to GA on Thursday but it sure isn't looking good.:sad1:

Goodnews is my kitchen is almost done and I guess I'll start on my office with the paint. It's only been a year afterall;)

We have 22 inches in the burbs of Baltimore this morning- it is still coming down HARD too. Plus its very windy- its so deep on our porch and the shovels are not inside the house. :scared1:

I'm in western Virginia and we probably have about 2 feet from what it looks like from my window. I haven't been outside yet though. It's still snowing and probably will keep snowing all day.

My parents are in Union County, NJ - north Jersey - about they have about 4-5 inches.

:sad2: NOT ONE THING. You should see it. Mostly sunny, around 20* with light winds. Please send us some snow! DH is whining because he hasn't ridden his new Ski-Doo much.

I'm in the bottom of Southern Maryland. It rained/sleeted most of the night - only a couple inches on the ground. I was hoping for more!! It is windy.

Long Island, NY--we just got a dusting. Started sometime after midnight, was snowing very lightly at 8 AM when I went out to get the newspaper.

Just outside of Pittsburgh here...
21" and counting, another expected 1-3 before noon.

Taken about 15 minutes ago....5-10" more inches on the way.

Still nothing!!! How weird! I woke up at 6:30 and peeked outside, expecting SOMETHING. Nope. It did flurry at some point because you can see less than a dusting on the roofs. Sorry you guys are getting slammed.

And it's not suppose to stop until 9pm.

We have over twenty inches in Northern Virginia. It is exhausting to walk in if you try. A couple of roofs have collapsed in the area the over 200,000 people are without power.

We're on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Last night was terribly windy, we lost power overnight but it was restored by 10 am this morning. It's still snowing right now, it's supposed to end pretty soon. We have about 18 inches as of about an hour ago and maybe we'll get one or two more inches before it's all said and done..

30 inches outside my door. So ready for spring!!
