Just called to update my Disney Dining, and while I was on hold, decided to check out allears for the new menus on the new venues. I saw Carnation Cafe said "new" next to their breakfast spot, so I opened it. So, so disappointed the eggs benedict is no longer on that menu!! I have been looking forward to having that for breakfast at least twice during our trip next month!! :sad2:

That sucks. I hate it when you get attached to something and they get rid of it! We actually sat down in a restaurant in DD once before I discovered that one of my favorites wasn't on the menu anymore, and we ended up leaving to find dinner somewhere else! (I'm a vegetarian, so options are limited.)

I know it's a small comfort, but if you're willing to go outside the park for breakfast, the benedict at Steakhouse 55 is one of the best I've EVER had.

Thank you for the tip!! If we do a breakfast outside the park, I will keep that in mind.
Same thing happened when French Market changed their menu, lost out on my beef stew in a bread bowl :sad2:

Man, what a bummer! We'd never been but I made reservations at CC for our first breakfast of our trip, based on the fact that the menu had eggs benedict (which my boyfriend likes) and french toast (which I like) and neither of them are on the menu now! :( There are other things on there that we will like but that's kind of a bummer!

We too are sad that Carnation Cafe changed the breakfast menu! We were looking forward to the french toast there when we visit next month!

Yup, I considered breakfast for the french toast too, but decided to skip it. :(

I'm not a huge eggs benedict fan, but I did notice they were on the breakfast buffet at Storyteller's in GC a few weeks ago.

Sorry to hear that! I love Carnation Cafe, and we were so excited to go there on it's re-opening day in June. We typically always have lunch there (have done breakfast a few times--but in the morning we like to eat light and go on rides instead). Have you ever tried their baked potato soup? That is what they are famous for. Their lunch menu has changed a lot too--lots more burgers and that kind of thing. They no longer have my favorite--chicken pot pie! I loved that pot pie. I eneded up getting the chicken fried chicken (no bones--just a chicken breast) over mashed potatoes and gravy and greens--and it was very good!

Maybe switch things up to lunch rather than breakfast, since they don't have your eggs benedict?

Hi, we actually go there for lunch/dinner as well. Love the baked potato soup!! And that chicken dish sounds great, as I do not eat meat with a bone in it! Never enough time to eat all my favorites & try something new, grrrrr.

No more chicken pot pie either? Bummer :( That was my DH's fav. I better make sure I check out the menu before our next trip so we don't get our hopes up for our old time fav's

I'm really bummed with the new breakfast menu too. They took off my favorite, the croissant sandwich and I was really looking forward to trying the french toast.

I read a report that the Baked Potato Soup had been changed......can anyone confirm?

I didn't realize the croissant sandwich was gone too!! Ugh, that would have been my back up.

Anybody ever eaten breakfast at Tomorrowland Terrace? Love eating my breakfasts in the park, and not fond of Riverbelle Terrace.

That would be a bummer. Please tell me it's not part of the Disney continuing health kick. I know some of my food choices at Disney aren't all that healthy, but, come on, I can eat healthy food when I'm at home. When I'm on vacation, especially a vacation that requires as much walking as Disney, then I want to splurge a little!

Word!! I diet & exercise daily. I look forward to my treats when on vacay.

I've seen this comment a couple of places, but I don't think it's correct. They didn't change bowl to cup. They had already raised the price of the cup to the ridiculous $5.49 price before the refurb. They also offered a $8.49 bowl of soup that was larger than the cup. I remember being a little dismayed by the prices the last time we ate there before the refurb. However, price for quantity, the bowl seemed like a better deal than the cup, so it's too bad that it seems to be gone. I'm just hoping that the cup of soup isn't even smaller than it was before the refurb, but to the best of my recollection the price didn't go up again.

The allears site still shows a bowl offered for the soup, along with the $5.49 cup.

Me too!!!! That was one of my favorites too, and a soup I enjoyed no matter the temp. I'm hoping the person who said that wrong.....LOL

Man, that's just pricey for a cup of soup.....
