Get the Zicam right away. If it is a cold (which often starts with a burning throat), it will work. In your case I would get the nasal gel AND the throat spray.

Welcome to the club! My body started this yesterday morning. I've been dosing on Airborne and Zicam (when the Airborne ran out), so hopefully I'll be better by tomorrow. It's definitely alleviated the usually ickiness I feel with a cold. I've got company arriving in 2 days, and my house is a wreck. With 2 kids at home, I don't have time for ANYONE to be sick!

I'm right there with ya. We've got a cold running around our family and it finally hit me. We're leaving tomorrow for our trip to my parents, and I just do NOT have time for this! I'm already pretty far along with my cold (I've had it bad since Sunday). Will that Zicam stuff still work?

Usually you need to use it within the first 24 hours of feeling symptoms. It probably will not work at this point, but it may stop it from getting any worse. In any event, it will not hurt you to use it.

I woke up Friday morning and felt my cold symptoms while I was driving to work (sinus headache, body aches, and my eyes felt funny). I couldn't get to my Zicam until about noon. I used the rest of the day Friday, all day Saturday, and by Sunday it was all gone.
