Well, darn it all! I just got my Mousesavers update email and it looks like the DL Haounted Mansion will be closed in Feb during our visit. I mean, I *knw* we'll have a good time anyway, but this is likely to be our one trip to DL instead of WDW and I had been told that I should definitely check this ride out DL-style.
:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Oh that is a bummer for you! It is always a disappointment when one of your favorites is not going to be running. One thing however, other than the exterior and the area you walk through to get to your doom buggy, the ride itself is very similar to the WDW one. I know there are differences but they aren't as obvious as say Pirates, which at Disneyland is totally superior and much longer. So on the bright side, at least POC will be open for you. And on the not so bright side for me, it will likely still be closed for our June visit :guilty: . Enjoy Disneyland! :flower:

Ut, oh, what are they doing to the HM? The holiday theme is supposed to stop after New Year's and then they shut the ride down for a couple of weeks to put it back to normal. Is that all that's going on, or are they doing a drastic change to it?

You know what this means...you'll just have to come back again to do HM! I think it's worth the trip. :wave2:

It will be down from January 18-March 9 they are removing the holiday and doing more extensive refurbs in that time. Not sure what they will intail though.

It's essentially all mechanical and ADA accessibility stuff, plus the floor in the Attic is getting a resurfacing.

Amy&Dan, I hear ya. It's tough when a "must do" ride will be closed. You MIGHT get to ride POC (keep your fingers crossed! :flower: ), but I KNOW we won't be able to, as we go March 25-April 2. The Blue Bayou is also closed during that time, and we were really looking forward to eating there. pirate:

Oh, well. Like Dis_Ohana said, that just means we'll have to plan another trip out that way! :cool1:
