NOOOO!! Corn Dog Castle down for Refurb!!!

Looking at Disneyland.com, the beloved Corn Dog Castle will be closed for refurb our ENTIRE 4 DAY TRIP!!! NOOO!!!!



At first it was going to re-open the Friday we got there, now it's not opening until May 22nd!!

No hot link corn dogs! BOO!!

Can you tell I'm a little depressed?

I just had to rant. I'm done now. Thank you.

No problem--there's a corn dog cart on Main Street (just before Plaza Inn on your right as you're walking in). Their corn dogs are the same I believe (not sure if they have the spicy ones though).

Yeah, they don't have the spicy ones. That's the bummer. I like the ones at the corn dog cart in DL, but DBF swears they aren't the same as DCA.. But he always gets the spicy ones at Corn Dog Castle anyways..

We're bummed about it too. My skinny 2 1/2 year old DD looooooves the cheddar cheese stick they have and eats at least twice each trip. We're going to have to find another grotesquely fattening snack for her since Corn Dog Castle is closed

It's in the Paradise Pier area in DCA between the Sunglass store and the Golden Dreams Theater.

The corn dog truck on Main St is a must stop for us each trip so we have never made it over to CDC. Maybe we'll have to try it out this time because I didn't know they had different kinds. DH may like it because he loves spicy although he is an "orginal" kind of guy

Yep! But they also have hot link sasuage and cheese sticks that are hand dipped and fried.. They're sooo yummy.

Corn Dog Castle should be open by the time we arrive at DL. I must admit we have never tried corn dogs but promise to do so when we visit DCA for the first time at the end of May.

I'm wondering what they are exactly - please don't flame me, we're from Scotland! Are they hot dogs and/or sausages, dipped in batter and then fried? If they are, we do have something similar and I just know DH will want one (or several) of these so he can compare them!

I am so sorry, there is nothing worse than having your heart and taste buds set on one thing (especially a DL-type thing, because every sensory experience there is magnified to ecstasy proportions) and have it not happen.
My suggestion would be to take this opportunity to seek out something absolutely new to you on this trip - a food you wouldn't normally be able to try because you usually have a corn dog in each hand. Who knows? Maybe you'll come across a new favorite! I am almost ashamed to admit this, but I have never had a Dole Whip. After hearing everyone RAVE on this board, it is for sure on my list of things to try. Maybe there is something wonderful but obscure just waiting for you.....it could be love at first bite!

Maybe this will give you an idea. This is a regular corn dog, not the hot link one. Sorry for the bite but I couldn't wait to lay into it before snapping a picture.
